View Full Version : How is Toon Link's performance in the elements of Brawl?

Okay first off, please read this:

Second of all, the reason I am posting this here is because I don't have set-out summaries of Toon Link's performance in the elements of Brawl. So, I was wondering if you guys could do it, considering how you guys are the authorities on your own character.

Use this thread to discuss it, and then please post your results in the "Element of Brawl" thread linked above, using this format:

Extreme long distance
Long distance

On the ground, I'd say 7/10, most of his ground attacks are laggy, most of them, if not all, lead into aerial combos.

On the air 10/10, this is toon links house, bair, fair, nair, zair, dair, uair. everything air,he rapes.


For spacing

he's an all around kind of guy...Great projectiles that lead into close combat, with sword strikes that can hit really far.


Killing power sucks, 6/10
If used right, his gimp is 10/10 O:

I agree. He is so much faster and better than Link in my opinion.

even though i joined in august ive benn reading for a while and this is what i think

-on the ground: toolink has many options between his 3 projetiles his disjointed hitbox his spped and size toonlink can be pretty effective on the ground but his attacks do have some lag(like barge said)

-in the air: toon link still has his 3 projectiles, a very wuick bair, deadly dair, a uair that does good damage and knockback, a quick and nice damaging nair, a powerful finishing fair, and a long distance, auto canceling zair, toon link is trouble in he air too

-off stage: oppents off stage expext to take damage from toon link. this is because the boomerang can be curved into their direcion, arrow when charged move quick and strong, bombss are perfct for messing up recoveries. not only that but toonlinks mid air jumped combine with his good di and long distance 3rd jump toonlink can almost always make it back to the board. however if some one is edgeguardin ad constanly attacking he may have some trouble getting back.
