I just spam A as fast as I can...but that's just me. I'd like to know how others escape grabs.

You have to press every button wildly and shake the control stick works like wonders. I dont know exactly what button u have to press but it seems to work for me.

If you want to jump break, press the control stick and/or jump buttons about. Unless the opponent is talker than you, in which case you'll jump break unless the game has to break you out by itself.
If you're against a shorter or even-sized foe, spam A/B to just ground break. You can also tilt the C-stick diagonally away before you break free so you DI farther away so you can't get followed-up or regrabbed/whatever.

So a/b to get out? VietGeek i think that u cant jumpbreak willingly. U only jump break if ur character's feet isnt touching the ground. If theyre touching the groud u groun break correct me if im wrong. This grab breaking topic is always confusing...
each button input/ rotation on control stick or c-stick reduces the grab time by a fraction of a second (I don't know the exact number), but mashing buttons usually works.

Some of my friends get out of chain grabs and such, such as my friend who plays marth. I spam grab him and he somehow gets out. x_x I'm not really sure how it works for the most part, but from what I see it matters on how tall your character is.

No, you can manually jump break if you manage to beat them in jab rhythm and escape earlier than usual by pressing actions that initiate a jump.

VietGeek seems to know a lot about grabs. With beating their jab rhythm do u mean u have to press the jump buttons when theyre not jabbing or by hitting it faster than they do?

VietGeek seems to know a lot about grabs everything.
Learn this now.
No joke.
I just go wild on my controller and get out in like half a second. >_>
Control stick and rotating A/B is what I do.
Also, lol, if you THINK your going to get grabbed, press A. XD
Your reaction time will be just to the point where you instant-grab break.
At least thats how it works for me. =P

Shy Guy 86 is right with TL this thing about grabs isnt as important as with other characters that get grabbed a lot *cough* sheik *cough*. I wanted to know this still since i use sheik too.

From what I managed to test, every button (except B I think it was) helps breaking out of a grab by some fraction of a second. Spinning the control stick however is significantly better to get out of grabs than just mashing buttons. Idealy though, you want to spin the control stick around AND mash buttons but try to focus on spinning the control stick as quickly as you can after being grabbed. Getting out of grabs fast is about reaction speed more than it is anything else.

So what about the C-stick? is that the same as the analog stick? And if so, would it be more effective to rotate both or to rotate one and spam buttons w/ the other hand?
Also on the subject of grabs: what's TL's best grab and does it change at certain percents?

the size of the opponent is important when they grab you ?

Bump. Want my questions answered.
Also, does it change depending on other circumstances? If so, how does it change and to what?
