No you didnt look at the video clearly. YOU go into training mode and do a downsmash on MK when its at 0%. It wont kill. The downsmash in that video is about 2x more knockback than what it normally would be.

I havent been keeping up but I remember seeing something like this a looong time ago like you said however, the vid I saw explained that that happens when you miss the second swipe and he did not. So this is old yet new and wierd...

He pressed Down while you used Dsmash. He dies. GG.

probably. He was charging a Dsmash. I never knew the second swipe was that powerful but I don't follow Tink so thats why...

Umm, JUST SO PEOPLE KNOW:

He was charging a smash! When you're charging a smash, you're basically 20% (or something around those lines) more vulnerable to every attack, meaning DownSmash would've sent him back 20% farther.

So it makes sense, and isn't really the MK's fault for bad DI.

Just sayin.

edit: I wouldn't try recreating it. It's rare to see a MK charge his smash unless he's really just askin for it.

Wait, so if you get hit while charging ANY attack then the knockback of the move you got hit by is increased by 20%? I definetly did not know that if thats the case.

I'm so far behind in the GD thread, and it's so full of crap, that I don't even bother reading it anymore.

QFT. Sometimes there's some good stuff, but theres so much other random spam that the good stuff is like pages behind the last post, even though it's been like an hour :(

Here's the link to that thread btw: http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=202057

Mind if I add that video to my thread about the smash-charge vulnerability? (linked above)

Yeah go for it, add the video if you like. Really weird how charging affects knockback O.o
