Okay...how in the world do i fight a marth that does not let you breathe. I understand the whole spacing/out camping blah blah blah. All good and dandy in theory. Any strategies and suggestions?

Sorry if theres a thread about this already. but my question is not about your everyday marth. It is specifically about a marth that doesnt give you time or space to do anything. so far a strategy that i use (which is probably not the best) is that when i have no room to do anything and im holding a bomb, i toss it at the floor to separate both our characters. then follow up with attacks.

I mean if he does double fair approach, or fair approach.. chances are he's going to fsmash right after. Just shield a little longer, then jump out of your shield and nair, shieldgrab, or run and throw a boomerang. Just wait for him to use a laggy attack and then retreat with projectiles

hmm...yea the z-air seems to be doing the job. its too rape. and as for the boomerang i usually let it hit on the way back popping the character on top of me where im waiting with an up-smash.

Also I can give oyu advice, I used to be like that in meele with marth, but aint no more. So my suggestion is you use TL speed to flee. play a guerrila warfare(aka hit and run tactic) so counter pick stages like Hyrule temple or FD, Med to large stages you can do well on and out range Marth. So practice with projectiles, Bow is good got holing back at long range for a short time and Boomeraang is good as well for mid-long range and bombs punish at cose-mid range. so just practice that and I think you will be fine. also dont forget your bairs and Zairs, Zairs will open up another window for comboing while Bairs rack up damage. ^^

I said temple with intention for friendlies, tourny, who in their right mind would have that legal as well as NPC. It was just a tip.

Pick a stage with a lot of running room such as Final Destination, since you will be...running...a lot.

Run around, create projectile walls to exploit openings for you to get in.

That's like what TL is all about. If you're all aggro you're doing it wrong. It works on bad people and makes you look amazing (read: Viet vs Lv.99), but on a good player it'll get you raped.

hmm...thats interesting about the whole hit and run tactic. I also have the problem that i get a bit arrogant at times and choose to be really aggressive. It works really well actually (against the best from FL, not just any random scrub). However, I know I cant do that against all the characters so sometimes I end up losing to random ppl which i couldve camped the crap out of. Its gotten to the point that I sometimes play under the tag CMPMO (Camp mo') so that im reminded to not be so aggressive.

and on a side note, I hate how once you eat salt and vinegar chips, you cant taste anything else.

Lol, I meant read as in 'understand' Extremely aggro (Viet) vs. bad player (Lv.99) equals amazing combo-like movements, but will get you raped against better people if all you do is play aggro.

Hold a bomb, sheild two fairs, use the bomb to punish his landing... i think i do that.

I wouldn't recommend rainbow cruise against marth. He'll kill you at low % with more fairs than you can compensate for with your low % fairs.

CP something like brinstar or delfino so he can't stagespike you is all I can say. And it makes his recovery more predictable.

Sasuke, I believe he means the you shield the fairs and hold it up while holding the bomb, the bomb will aslode, and Marth is punished into some crazy *** combo involving a grab and bairs.

Yeah, he has a beautiful, kind-hearted wife. Of course it's hard to imagine since whoever does the character models in Smash is having too much fun making Marth effeminate and creating great detail on the female characters.
