Should give everyone a really good in depth look at the Diddy vs Toon Link match up. Quivo is the best TL in the midwest. Grand Finals Set 2 I played awful-squandered two leads in games 1-2. Quivo might have also known/read what I said about LM only working as a CP if the opponent isn't a heavy character (shrug, he may have also just been really smart).

alpha, your diddy is very sexy as well. All these matches were really hard to watch because I main toon link and Im currently picking up diddy so its hard to pick a character to fully focus on.

That was rad, both of you. Some bad self-destructs on Alpha's part, but Quivo played really well. I have to say Quivo has one of the more "controlled" Toon Links out there. In terms of frenziness, I'd say you put on a lot of pressure on your opponent without randomly spamming your attacks. More like "controlled" spam if you will.

In friendlies I would usually full jump to nair so that I can grab his bananas. Usually he doesn't give me big opportunities to just pick them up, I have to use aerials or airdodges to grab/catch them in the heat of battle. Even then, I'm too stubborn to throw them away and I'll try using them against him. It doesn't work anymore, I pretty much end up giving him his banana back.

As for spikes through the stages, I'll try it next time. We never play on delfino though. I just thought it'd be a good stage for me in the middle of the set.

does Quivo have an ideal TL? There's no upsmash, downsmash, or fair before kill percent. Do i really need to save that many moves? I usually use upsmash and fair for racking, and kill with uptilt and downsmash. I really like using my moves when i want to.. can i get away with saving only one move? and if so, which?

I dont use my smashes either. Downsmash maybe for racking. Then forward smash MAYBE MAYBE, for racking. But rarely upsmash, unless I'm going for the kill.

Usmash = best kill move. I might use it once in awhile as a damage builder. No point in spamming it.
Dsmash: I've been using this more. Also, it's not a good kill move. I use it at weird times. I used to be kinda afraid to use it cause I rarely ever hit with it, even if I knew they were going to roll or something.
Fair: I do use this, but I usually use it as an edgeguarding tool.

I get damage fine without using my smashes. Also, saving these kill moves give me more options when I'm wanting to kill.
