Nevermind, old technique that I thought I discovered

This ****'s cool, and I want to know what you guys think of it.

I was messing around trying to get down fastfall quickdraws, and I somehow discovered this new technique. Pretty much I did a nair and then an arrow cancel, but I made a mistake somewhere and did a quickdraw while TL reversed. The arrow still went the direction it was supposed to, but TL turned around.

After a dozen attempts, I figured out how to do it again. The only problem, is that I can only get it to work after a nair and fair.

Anyway, how to do it: Nair, arrow cancel, and then flick the control stick the opposite direction.

Possible uses is like a nair, to arrow, into bair possibly? It's a bit slow, so i don't think it'll work. Maybe us Toon Links can find a use for it.. I just think it looks sick lol

You can do it after arrow canceling anytime.
I do it by accident after both bair and bomb pulling.

Nah I'm pretty sure it's not wavebouncing. Quickdraw = arrowcancel i thought? Or maybe im just dumb and it's some other technique lol.

Let me describe it better.

TL is facing the right side and does a nair into arrow cancel. The arrow goes right, but TL turns around.

Yea they are the same Quivo people call it arrow or bow canceling but the original name is quickdraw but Ike's sideb is that so people call it something else.

And yea its hard to recreate.
The timeing is too presise I think.

I didn't think it'd be that big lol
So I just kept to myself.

I can do it probably 3/8 of the times. I don't know if it'll be great or not, most likely it won't be.. but I thought I'd tell the TL boards. I figured it can set you up for stuff

Isn't the same thing as the Battlechrist trick except with an aerial instead of a SHDA?

Not really VG its bow canceling period you dont have to use a aerial.
Just bow cancel

Nah, doesn't the battle christ trick make the arrow and TL turn around completely? My thing makes TL turn around, but the arrow travels the opposite direction.

Mindgames, and to turn around if you want to approach, or if they're approaching..

But i agree, it's nothing revolutionary

i've found a new AT with TL that could be kinda useful to mindgames( might be old )



Technique: *backwards arrow*



the steps which make up the technique are rather simple but the timing that binds it together is a little tricky.



1st: jump: it doesn't matter how high , it doesn't matter if you attack in the air and it doesn't even matter if you fastfall, just jump.



2nd: quickdraw: very widely known technique. however you need to perform this quickdraw exceptionally quick for the technique to work.



3rd: B-reversal: (once again a popular technique)change directions as / right before the twang of the arrow(easiest in 1/4 speed in training)



the whole thing: your character should take there bow out on the ground facing in the opposite direction and slide a very short distance with an arrow coming from the back of the character.

Nope, I don't really check threads unless it's something new.

I've been kinda following since the games come out, and never saw videos of this technique.

oh, idk then. i've been following this since august and i had/have alot to catch up on. I alway look at the threads though even if its not completely new because it could be an improvement or alternate way to do something.
