View Full Version : Street Fighter 4 Thread of Official Fighting Like Gentlemen

I think the SF4 conversion rate has been alarmingly high, even from my own expectations. So I created this thread to allow players from other threads (and other states) to chip in and maybe we can get a pseudo-SF community happening. Until we get good enough to play the hardcore SF players, of course.

So, to get started, what you need are:

1) An Xbox 360, Playstation 3, PC, or if you have $10000 lying around, a SF4 cabinet.
2) A copy of Street Fighter 4 that plays on one of the above.
3) A controller pad, or preferably a joystick of some sort.
4) Love of Street Fighter.

And there you go, your guide to hopping in is complete!


Also, it'd be good if everyone with a copy can post their Gamertag/PSN name if possible, so we can all play each other for funsies and wub each other moresies. For your viewing pleasure I shall divide the blues=PS3, greens=Xbox 360, and reds=PC. Template shall go:

Apparently I get super lag when I play anyone. Does anyone else playing online have any lag at all?

Also, I firmly believe that Seth does not play by the difficulty settings applied. I had to continue 30 times with Cammy to beat him in a single round on Easiest ._. He was warping behind into a atomic busters, triple shoryukening if I tried to jump out of the atomic busters, blocking or FADCing any pokes I threw out. I got SO ANGRY !@#$

Then I cleared Seth in one go using Blanka and nothing but head bites. >.>

SF4 plays were awesome. Weeee I hate playing against Bison, psycho crusher beats everything Abel has =( and Simon bad luck on the Raging Demons everywhere HAHA =( PS. Meteor, cannon spike is super annoying please stop winning with it.

Does anyone actually want to run an inner-smashboards australian sf4 tournament? Would be interesting to see the results...

What? lol, surely after hearing it enough you'd remember I was following everything up with Spiral Arrow! Lots of cannon spikes were accidental... and most of the ultras were intended to be cannon spikes. XP Good thing half of them KO'd through guard.

But yeah, playing SF4 with you guys was great. I kinda feel bad about Pat and Simon, not being as used to the ps3 controller, maybe an inner smashboards sf4 tourney would be a bit more flexible to cater for the 360 players. =/

The guys at LANSmash have been thinking up some pretty good prizes for the SF4 tourney. Some ideas include a custom made sticks and stuff to do with Ozhadou.

Nothing's solid, but it would be nice to see you guys come lol.

I think it's mainly PS3, but I'd assume if we needed to we could set up a 360.
