Ok guys. I'm going to recreate Santi's "help" thread. Seens as though we could all use a bit of help lately or at least some tips. You guys know me, I'm not the brightest lit deku stick in the bag or the masterful Windwaker himself, but I do however want to help out my firends on this board as much as possible.
There isnt really much I ask out of you guys who participate in this thread. Mainly I dont want any flame and especially no spam, spam is what got Santi's old thread to close.
I'll do my best on my part to provide suffice advice or tips as possible. Just like in Santi's thread, anyone can give anyone else advice, not just me, cuz after all, I'm not that thoroughly read on TL.
I hope to be of some use to you guys. So if you got a problem or something just wont work, come here and post your problem in this thread and we'll try to work it out. After all it sucks to have the Triforce of courage broken and have to go look for the scattered pieces over and over again. I hope to keep the Triforce together lol.

When I play toon link, I use a _lot_ of bombs, is this a viable strat? Should I try and be more agressive?

your asking someone named BOMBER if using a lot of bombs is good.
seriously though bombs are toonlink's mainprojectile imo they should be used the most

I use alot of bombs too *points at name* I find it fun and highly potential to be usefull for mindgames. Even to this day I am still trying to find effective ways to bomb because Brawl just has a difference since to it all, not to mention I bombed with Link in 64 and Meele. You want to be careful how often you pull out bombs. You dont want to be pulling out a bomb when you know atthe moment in time you should be using a move that will deal some damage to your oppponent or kill them even.
Bombing is a tricky thing. You just got to practice and find a pattern to space your opponent well. Bombing can be affective, that why I use it. Mainly I found bombing is unpredictable sometimes and if luck serves you can pull off a combo and it will look cool. So yes it is a legit strategy. There are quite a few bombers on this board like myself.

Spacing
ToonLink:
Toon Link as you know has many projectiles and a hook shot. As you saw Zairing helps with spacing but since you know TL players use it so much, it's easily countered these days but that doesnt mean it still isnt useful. You bow is your primary spacing object. When you first start a match you will be far away for take advantage of that and use your bow. Next up for spacing I'd suggest you 'Rang since it gets better distance and since it comes back and it will make your opponent react to it coming back which you can just counter their reaction in any way you see fit. Once that is all over you will need to get to spacing with all 4 spacing objects(bomb, 'Rang, hookshot and bow). For this, take advantage of TL's speed. so run around alot and use any of the objects how you see fit, for instance if you see a situation would be great ofr Zair, by all means use it. or if you need to do a SHDA, use it or even just a plain arrow cancel. Though if possible find a fluid motion of using these objects that will keep your opponent at bay without you having to move alot but also make sure you are flexible enough to flee and start the process again in case you overshoot somehting and your opponent breaks through.
And as for spacing with PT, go look in the Trainer Tips thread. Reflex was kind enough to provide his thoughts on that matter.

did you wright that yourself or copy that from a thread??
anyways thanks I think I got better from this Ill jst hang around on the bards for awhile than practice spacing.
One more thing, people say you shouldnt train with coms cause it makes you worse is this true?

The only problem with CPU's is that they dont DI and eventually they get predictable when they air dodge. wouldnt say it makes you worse. Though it doesnt make you much better. However they do give you practice. I found that practicing on CPU's give you a chance to try out stuff, like in this case for you it's spacing, in an actual fighting situation. Think about it, you got an opponent who is moving, attacking and dodging. I see no problem on practicing on them. Just more or less I find CPUs affective for trying out moves or wanting to improve something you arent good at (like Zairs for me). CPU's do get better though, the CPU lvl 9 PT on my game used to be THE worst, but recently I noticed it's actually good, it moves around more and fights a little like me with a few minor exceptions.
Think of it this way. CPU = Punching bag that moves and fights back.
Also no, I havent copied and pasted any of this stuff.
