this totally relies on your opponent standing still on the edge, not shielding the bomb drop, not trying to counter your approach etc.

It might work occasionally. But I don't see it working much.

@Jman Simple, ive thought about that to. Everyone will automatically do something about the bom thats been throwing at him. So what u do is Z-air > then finish him with the Z-drop > Dair, and done it is.

You pull a bomb, throw your boomerang to the left, and then run and Z-drop the bomb to Dair spike.

Or you pull a bomb, SHAD Zair, then run and Z-drop the bomb to Dair spike.

Or you short hop bomb pull, arrow cancel, run and Z-drop the bomb to Dair spike.

Or you pull a bomb, jump, throw it up, pull another bomb, charge a grounded Up B, get hit by the bomb that falls down, and then run and Z-drop the bomb and Dair spike.


All except the last one sound like interesting applications of this to me.

Hmm. I seem to have trouble doing this. I can't set it up correctly.

I either run into the person too late or too early, as in the bomb either drops too far away for the blast to reach them or the person is already doing some other thing like jumping, shielding, whatever. That, or I blow the bomb up ON them, stunning me as well.

I can do it perfectly fine on a stationary person, but not so much someone who is on guard.

fooling around with it you shoud be able to use all your arial moves after the bomb hits. so in the middle of the stage you could z-drop -> up air and should hit within the first few frames of the up air giving good knockback and dmg. i tried it on CPU DK as my bro plays him. i'll try it on my bro next time i play him.

when i tryed this on a friend he got used to it and just power shielded or catched the bomb and both of these require the right timeing so i just changed to throwing it down instead of drop some times same effect just faster so this is truely a toon link combo spike cause only toon link could have a mindgame spike ',; )

many tourney players won't fall for this.
Most characters out range us. For example, Marth. If you do this against a good marth, they will fsmash, or fair you if you are going to get that close to them before you drop the bomb. The only combo I saw that might work is a zair to bomb drop to aerial.
However, the people I play against tend to be very good at blocking zairs, power shielding projectiles, etc.
Dazwa would rape me if I did that to him :P
I think it may have some application, but it is going to be one of those moves you can only pull of in a rare situation, usually against a less skilled opponent.

Try doing it at the Edge Same place as the 100% Dair spike. So pick a bom, Do A Invinicible bombing, Then FootStool > Then Dair :) 100% Spike to :).

I had forgotten about this combo until I did it at MM last weekend (pretty much by accident) against a ROB. Basically get your back to the ledge and wait for them to be stupid enough to approach. Spot dodge or PS, quickly take a step or two forward, rising bair->footstool->dair. They need to be between like 10% and 20%, and it seems to work on heavy characters a lot better. Light characters land back on stage more. Guaranteed kill on a cpu or unexpecting opponent. Don't know how easy it is to meteor cancel as a real player.

I feel like that combo has been sorta forgotten. Probably because it's extremely situational

Well, Asdioh and I were doing this over Wifi.

I did end up meteor canceling the spike until like, 60% (I started with 0%).

But it will catch opponents off guard, so there is a much higher chance of getting the kill.

There is not many videos of I-bombing and the 100% spike, since these are still mostly new. I have a bunch of replays with I-bombing, but I haven't uploaded those videos yet.
