One year anniversary today :)
YAY!!!!!
Everyone's Toon is a year old today. (kinda lol)
Toon Link has progressed a bunch in one year.
Good job everyone :)

Hopefully we have another strong year coming up.

Haha i know my toon link has progressed ALOT in the past year i am going to do a blog later today of what i have been throught if any1 wants to check it out go to my aib and maybe you other toons can tell of your storys in the past year too well heres my aib

Happy One Year guys! Man, I can remember the first time I played as Toon Link in the Japanese version. I was in love. Toon Link is pretty much my dream character. When I first played Young Link in Melee, I thought he was cool, yet I found that he was too weak. Then Zelda: Wind Waker came out and I was in love with the cel-shaded graphics (I still love them to this day!) But when it came to Melee, I wished that Young Link had just a little more power.

And Toon Link satisfied me. He was exactly what I was looking for, and he's my favourite Link in general. I'm impressed by how productive this board is when it comes to finding things with Toon Link. I wish I could help out more, but as a Toon Link player I really appreciate the work you guys put in. I will try harder myself. X)

Guess what guys before brawls release I thought that Toon Link wasn't going to be that great and didn't pay him any attention what so ever until I finally unlocked him as my last Character 1 week and 1 day after release.
So not quite a year for me
But no worry guys I love Toon Link now lol

Nice progress TLs, but you guys should be better than were your at. TL can be like the campiest character if you use him properly, but I haven't seen anyone win a big tourney with TL when we all know its possible. I don't play him, but TLs need to learn how to be more spammy if you want to start winning tournaments, I'm not talking about them small candy shop tournies, but them big Genesis like ones, step it up!

I'm probably one of the newest Toons. I was originally a Zelda main. Switched to Toon in October or so, so not a year for me yet.

Happy New Year for you original Toons though. Let's make this year the Year of the Toon Link!

I DO second Zelda, actually. I bumped her down when I discovered how much fun TL was to play, but I've been improving with her and TL equally. So, I guess she's my other main? I dunno, all I know is, I still play her.

I need to find an avatar/sig to reflect that...

looking back to my old replays i have improved alot too. i used to play link as a main but when i unlocked toon link he was my new main and its been ages that i havent changed my main

I picked up TL in April over loving his dumb dair in Subspace. Since then I felt like I belonged here more than other character boards. I find myself improving in comparison to my older self but always lacking the important vision of improving over others...winning and representing the character(s) I adore.

A year has past and I have not won anything. In fact I've become progressively worst in a competitive environment that like the world, has left me behind to play the impossible game of catch-up.

i've been using toonlink ever since i unlocked him. i think that was like 4 days (if that) after i got brawl lol.
i found smashboards 5/2/08, i actually looked what was on the site and found the toonlink board in like july. and joined the community in august.
Since i joined the year has been nothing but fun.

Anyone who came to the toonlink board/social group couldnt just come once. Let the toonlink community continue to be a strong, fun, friendly community for the years to cime.

The date on my info is true. However, while looking up Meele tournies in my state, I came across this website and joined it cuz it looked cool, not know how to get past the home page lol. then in july my friend Redson happened to find it and joined it and sent me the link, then the memory of me joining this website came back. thats why my join date was in 2007. It was inactivce for like a good year.

Acutally, that was around 1 - 3 months after release.

Us Tink's and Ike's were top tier back then :cool:

It was one year for me since february. Played the japanese game :P. Happy one year tinks. And dont worry Iron well make it to high tier someday. We have no seriously bad matchups except mk >_>.

The theoretical/guess tier lists people made as soon as brawl was released. If you can find the old tiers discussion thread in the 'tactical discussion' forum, you'll see in nearly every early tier list TL is around the top 5.

He was mid tier in the first SBR list (made many months later though)
