Spamming with projectiles and Toon Link

I completely understand the fact that spamming an enemy with projectiles is a great way to bring them in.. But, for the most part, it has no effect on multiple enemies. I am one to defend, especially with Toon Link, but with multiple enemies I find it hard to avoid enemies.

My main strategy these days, is if I have high damage, I throw a boomerang while running, attempt a FSMASH with a follow up to make a combo, but with multiple foes, what should I do? Most of my combos and tactics are torn apart by large groups. Help me out!

I would say you have to come up with a different strategy, or right after the FSMASH you should do a bubble roll in a certain direction, according to your other enemies so you can start concentrating on them.

I do have other tactics, but most of them involve just one person. Toon Link's moves are based on 1 on 1 combat. The only way I survive when wifi-ing is to dodge around and take a shot every once-in-a-while. I wish I could learn some quicker combos to pull off. I would appreciate suggestions. :laugh:

That's actually what I do, I keep the battle in the air, where only one can truly face me.

I agree, but I still like being universal in battle. Being able to put up a fight against any amount or anybody.

Dude, it's an aspect of the game that James and I'll admit, I need to work on.

In my opinion, if you can't become good at all aspects of the game, you won't be able to get anywhere.

Exactly.. Mark and I do very well in 1 on 1.. But even when we face the computer players, you can tell we lack when there is three of 'em.

I find it insanely easy to juggle around two opponents with TL if you're in a 1v2 situation. You were given the ability to use two aerials in one sh. USE IT.

Against multiple people, I'd say lot of boomerangs/ bombs and Fast-fall'd Nairs would work well. =)

I love 4-ways with TL. Just look for another person charging an attack and zair/nair/arrow someone into it. Our attacks are pretty quick and easy to hit with, but they do low damage, so take advantage of your other enemies. You won't get the kills as much but you'll survive til the 1v1 at the end.

Nair and zair also work well for sorta herding your enemies onto one side of the stage and getting them to fight each other

I'd use my up b to rack tha damage, run like hell if ur being teamed and jus keep thrwin ya bomb and boomers shda, whn u thrw u boomer and its coming back b sure to charge a smash, arrow or sheild so tl wont catch it slowly, drop ur bombs frm the air make it rain full of em lol. Btw next tyme if ur asking for advice i recommend sumitting to the TL q's and a's :)

throw bombs up, ibomb when they are close, grounded up b only if you get them all, dair is a little safer in a free for all not so much in teams, nair alot, never fsmash to laggy, NEVER watch yourself when you play always watch the others i know it sounds stupid but yea...
