I really like oldies. A lot of (oldies) songs are about love. I really like the way oldies songs get feelings across much more than modern songs. Maybe because the melody is simple and easy to listen to.

Here are some of my favorites:

Clyde McPhatter - A Lover's Question (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nJGXfr7sFS0)

The Supremes - Baby Love (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=23UkIkwy5ZM)

The Chiffons (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J8LmTaVrPl8) - One Fine Day (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J8LmTaVrPl8)

The Skyliners - Since I Don't Have You (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ngZh6ZSRoYg)

The Fleetwoods - Come Softly To Me (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DgJwm9erBaQ)

Does anyone else like oldies? If yes, do you know why you like them? Or perhaps: why don't you like oldies? It's like a question of the day thing -- but this question will stay the same.

i dont know if you would consider the beatles oldies, well definitely not their later stuff but they are one of my favorite bands ever.

that chiffons song and fleetwoods song is also pretty awesome ive listened to those for a while.

i totally know what you mean about the lyrics, so many songs about love back then, they probably just got good at it. seems like the modern music is out of practice with their simple love lyrics.
