Countering pro powershielders.

Does anyone have any way to prevent people from constantly powershielding your projectiles? Well here are a few ways I thought of. Sometimes some of the simple things work.

Short Hop Bomb Pull. Quickdraw. Bomb throw.

Short Hop double arrow.

Boomerang, charge arrow, release.

Boomerang, arrow, f-smash, boomerang hits on way back, f-smash x 2.

Boomerang, arrow, arrow.

With these combos you put constant pressure on your opponents shield, making it that much harder to approach with powershield.

Guys, please add some more anti powershield strategies, and share your opinions. This is for offline play as well. lol. It's impossible to powershield online consistently... so this would work even better on online play.

-They can just hold Shield & the bomb will bounce off. I think this could work though, but it's not really anything new.

-I've played people who consistently PSed my SHDAs.

-They'll see you charging the arrow, & just jump.

-You'd have to be pretty close to chain this.. & Throwing a boomerang/shooting an arrow at that distance isn't a very good idea.

-Do you mean SHDA for arrow arrow? Cus regular arrow arrows are too slow.


I don't really think there's a way to counter PSing.. Just hope that they screw up, lol. Bombs ftw? Idk.

There is no way you can stop people from powershielding... No matter how well you mix up your attacks, the ONLY way to stop them is by grabbing right after a zair... And even then it can be hard.

And, bombs against a pretty smart powershielding opponent will not be a good idea. I, myself, powershield everything. Then, when my opponent throws a bomb, I normalshield it, then z-catch it and throw it back if I have the chance to. If not, powershield blows up the bomb.


Remember: best way is to zair>grab. Otherwise, just keep on spamming and hope your barrage of projectiles hits.

But that's on lower percents and when you are pretty close to the opponent. Landing the Zair with the tip won't get you the grab.

Lol im surprised kewk said theres no way to counter powershielding. I somehow manage against him even with his great powershielding :/. Kewk is a TL's worst nightmare, seriously.

Boomerang, arrow, arrow... not quickdrawed. Work's surprisingly well especially as the boomerang is returning to TL. TL players need to put constant pressure on their opponents shield, since shielding is the most spammable move in the game. lol. I think it might make TL more viable if we abuse the aspect of TL being able to throw out projectiles all at once, making it hard for the opponent to powershield them all, and it will be alot easier to rack up damage.
