I've got an issue. When I go to the Item Shop to see what I can buy, there aren't any items there. I think I've got enough to buy just atleast a weak attack (I have 15 Gil). I've even hit the expand buttons, but when it expands, there are still no items for sale. Is this my fault?

You're currently at level 1 so far, so you can only get scratch (which is sold out until monday) and what you really need to do is gain some more levels, by level 5 you should start seeing both elemental attacks, and potions.

Actually, the first items are available once you reach level 2. Until then, tackle will be your only option.
