This statistically makes no sense to me. At the batte found here (http://smashboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=27378) I was dumbfounded when my Thundershock only managed to accomplish 2 damage while my pound was racking out about 25. Granted that my magic attack was higher than my physical (19 higher?) and his physical and magical defenses were the same (61) compiled with the fact that there should be no reduction for Electricity against Grass, why then did it do so little damage?

he probably resisted it, if his defenses were same and your m.a. is better than a, and thundershock is like 8 more buff than pound... what element was he?

Yea this happened to me as well....sort of. Against you TVG here's (http://smashboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=27241&perpage=15&pagenumber=3) the fight. I think its cause I have high M.Def. but other than that I have no idea why you did so little.

your elemental dmg is based on your element, your type is based on what type you are like what weapons you can buy, like your elec, buy elec moves, your also elec type so you do that dmg, grass resists elec, ;)

Yes Gligar_Man, but you misunderstand. My magic attack was higher than my physical attack (thundershock Vs. Pound) And his magic and physical defense were equal. It makes no sense that it should do 10 times less.

Since when does Grass resist Electric? News to me. Even so, it seems a bit strange that is was that much less. Oh well. Doesn't really matter anyway.

In the game, Grass did resist Electric attacks.

2x: water, flying
1/2x: elec, grass, dragon
0x: ground

its only weak to ground also

Just now in a battle with flash he used Twin Needle and it only did 2 damage. TNeedle is physical attack right? If it is it should've done more my Def is only 51 and his attack was 111. I'm a ghost hes a bug so what happened? Well I'm not complaining I'm glad I chose a ghost poke.

Really? Shows how long its been since I've played Pokemon. Also, isn't Electric not effective against itself? That's pretty obvious thouth...
