welll i was wondering this te other day when i was playing my friends marth.
i found myself playing more defensive or waiting for him to mes up and then as i got him i become to overzealous and when i do pass on offensive he counters me.
this brings me to ask is Falcon mor offensive or defensive

Against most characters, I play offensively with Falcon.
against anyone with a projectile you are forced to play offensively but against people without one you have the option of playing whichever suits your style better.

STFU please.
Ok, this is a hard question because of course it all depends on character matchup/the person you're playing/etc...
But, it is better to play offensively more of the time IMO, because once you can get those knees in...it's game over, no matter what character you are playing.
All right, I'm drunk, give me a break.
God yes CF is offensive n00b jk
U gotta stay on the opponent.
And stay on them with those aireals

Lol he called you a n00b dark! Tell me to stfu ill kick your....jk
lol. Yes but anyways cf is offensive partly because of his great speed and partly because of his power of course. And using n-a along with the knee is always good.

Yeah, sure, go ahead and play offensively 100% of the time against Marth, see how far that gets you.
This is a stupid question, I can't believe I answered it last night. I must've been drunker than I thought. Sadness.

I think Falcon is a more offensive person. He doesent have any projectiles, so if you where going to play deffensive, all you would do is wait for the opponent to come to you. If you are over 100% you probaly would want to be deffensive at that time. And another reason he is better at offense is that he is a fast charecter, and because he is strong.
you're gonna get modded for that banner Linkrulz. just fyi.

so wat i should go all out on projectiles
but like against marth wat should i do is it a switch side or a all offense because if i recall C.Falcon vs. Marth can switch side really quickly.
and wat modded dyc lol

sigh.... me and dark and a bunch of other ppl have answered this question so many times already.
when playing falcon, its always about punishing your foes for their mistakes. Since falcon has suck priority and bad recovery, trying to out power and outprioritize your opponent will get you either a : samus charge shot, a samus missle, a turnip, a tipper, or a butt bounce(peaches bair). Some other moves include ganon's fair, bair, dair, and uair. Not to mention his POKE... or SLAP!!!!!!
just wait for your foe to make mistakes, then punish them for it...
simple as pie
ooh................. pie....................mmmmmmmmmmm.............

more than likely it will depend upon your opponent and how well you play CF
hell if its marth
you have to watch out for his grabs and fair
but most of all gotta watch out for goin off the edge
so basically im callin that match for faclon 60def40off
other than that
its up too you:)

i fiddled around with him for a while, taking notice of what worked best for me. offensive. even though side B is predictable and has low prioity, definately combo the crap outta them with it when they are at low %. i prefer side B, U smash, jump, U air, sprint wherever they are going to fall, jump, and either U air again or up B.

well, you have to keep pressure on some opponents, but does that constitute playing defensively? if we suppose playing offensively means seeking to hit the opponent and defensively means avoiding being hit, the pressure he keeps by dashdancing up close would be defensive.
playing defensively sacrifices the amount of hits you land in order to decrease the number of times you're hit yourself. could he decrease the number of times he's hit more than he sacrifices?

You'd have to be retarted to play offensively 100% especially against marth... You mix it up. But he is generally an offensive character.

He's been here for over a year, and has 92 posts. Do you really think all of the sudden he has the urge to boost his post count? I'd say it's unlikely.
But as for the question at hand, you don't just play one style. Even against certain characters that you're supposed to be really offensive against. You still have to wait for your moment to land knees and such. Going all out offense or defense against a character will probably result in a two stock, or at least a loss.

Falcon plays what i call an opportunist's offense. He has to wait for the right moment, then become the most aggressive beast you have ever seen. Moves such as falcon's nair, fwd-b, and uair can provide these openings, which you should capitalize on with a combo and/or a knee.

I find it can work to play carefully and hang back with the mindgames and whatnot and then jump in and start comboing them for a while until you switch back to defensive. While you're defensive just shffl nairs and the like when they come too close. As soon as they make a mistake, lunge in again. Of course this doesn't work on many people.
evasive punisher. outsmart them and rack up the damage while they're helpless.
