My DK combos were getting a little stale, against fast fallers I would normally try to get a grab in at low percents then go for a chain throw or up-air juggle grab combos. Problem is that these are hard to do against someone with good DI and is very hard to do from 0%. So I had a burst of inspiration, DK's most damaging move is the spinning kong (Up-B) able to score 30%+ with multiple hits yet it is rarely used by DK players (Other than as a K. O move). By simply grabbing , cargoing, up-throwing , jumping slightly and then using the spinning Kong (So that they are caught above it) you can get your opponent (If they are a fastfaller) up to above 30% from 0%, and if your fast you can get another grab in and repeat or go for the juggles (I find that about 30% on fastfallers is the perfect percent to begin u-air juggles). It seems to me that this move is massively underused as a combo move, i've been trying it in a few different situations and it works well, anyways- try it out!
Peace out

I actually use the Spinning Kong a lot on heavy and fast falling characters like Ganondorf. I love it because when he's spamming F-aerial, i use the spinning kong to deal nice damage all the time.
I use that move because earlier i had just started with Bowser which has a similar effect with the whirling fortress

I use it at times when the opponent is returning. I just go out and up B my way back and hopefully it interferes with their return. The 0-30% combo from throw is nice King Kong, thanks.

No worries mate, try this out. Upthrow, Upthrow, Grab/Cargo/Upthrow, Up-air, Grab/Cargo/Upthrow, Up-b = 60% on fastfallers

This IS very useful in combinations, but there is a reason that you haven't noticed people using it offensively. The first reason is that if you use it and are hit, you lose your charged punch. The second reason is because, unless you get it right, you only hit your opponent once, and then suffer very punishable lag. The third reason is because, other than the regular B, most DK's [for some strange reason], myself included, just use A attacks. That could be because most of DK's B moves have serious repurcussions if used incorrectly or even at all, and are easily avoided or just ineffective. DK's aerial game is his best, especially with the B-Airs, but you need to be careful with the Up-B, lest you want to recharge your punch for using it. So, again, using it in combinations is fine, so long as you know you won't get hit.

I use the u-b a lot. I'm not a big fan of the charge punch except when edgeguarding or sh it into someone's arial attack. It usually hits first which is sweet. But I sometimes really get punished with the after lag of the u-b because when they get caught the other character has almost zero knockback and usually recovers much more quickly than DK. I try to hit with it's first part and then DI away from the person to create some space for the lag time afterwards. But I'll have to try this, it sounds very useful. I really hate Falcon so maybe this will help against him. I need some more plans to combat fast-fallers though outside of grab combos and shffl'd b-airs. It seems that there are no other strategies against the space animals and Falcon.

This is how I beat fastfallers. - http://rapidshare.de/files/6902220/King_Kong__DK__vs_NESSBOUNDER__Fox__.wmv.html
Too bad I hadnt thought of using the up-b at that point.

That finisher was sweet. As was that ledge-hopped reverse charge punch. I've never seen that before. Your DK is pretty freaking good. I wish I could play you. Your DK is a bit faster than mine though. I can't l-cancel perfectly, or even partially sometimes. I own most slower characters, but those fast ones are a real pain. Maybe one day soon I'll be that good. I found out yesterday that the "kill Marth at 8%" trick works on Falcon. M'eh.
