I've never found any. I really like GAW, and I think I could be really good with him if I saw someone playing him. So if anyone has any vids, combo/1v1/2v2, I'd love to see them. Thanks in advance.

Here you go mate, its not much, and my Falco is pretty poor (But then agian I dont play falco) and the quality is pretty bad. But you'll see some techniques like turtledancing and juggling.

Thanks man, and I got DC++ working and I got some vids. I guess I'll just have to keep practicing. I wish I had someone good to play. My best opponent is a lvl9 computer...

Wow. I didn't know that anyone even used Game and Watch.

EDIT: Ok, just saw the videos, and they were pretty impressive. I've never seen someone play G&W like that. And the music was really sweet.

The GAWs are decent... but they couldn't even sweetspot the ledge, chu and azen were obviously just having a friendly ditto... nothing spectacular

Any video of DireVulcan playing as game and watch will be good. He his definitely the best game and watch I have ever seen. So look for him when you do your searches. He inspired me to make game and watch my second character. Dire I dont know if you remember me from the guantlets but if there is another one I would love to lose to your game and watch.

You should catch the vid where I took Chu out in a GAW ditto set (which means bullsh1t to begin with)....oh wait it wasn't recorded!

Mission 1 complete - Rule the universe of GAW.

Mission 2 incomplete - Become the best Yoshi (getting close to it already xD)

Final Mission Incomplete - Become one of the best players regardless.

HARD phucking mission.

Kinda off the original topic, but I was wondering if anyone could help me out. Is SHFFLing the thing that will make GAW's dair go faster? My friend's Falcon owned me everytime I tried to spike hime with dair. It was pretty frustrating.

Also, how useful is SHFFL? I can't seem to master it, and I think even if I did I wouldn't really be able to use it competatively. Does anyone have any advice for training a SHFFLC thingie? It'd help out a lot.

A shffl is the single most useful thing your going to learn if you want to play competitively...id deem it more important then wavedashing. EVERY character uses it. practice in slow mo or training mode at half speed, then work the speed up as you get used to it.

It doesn't LOOK fancy, but it's hard to do. Only a MrGW player will appreciate the skill of a good MrGW player. I'm trying to become a good MrGW player, because he's 2-d, he's my 3rd best even though I never use him (the only character I ever use is Fox, and my second best is Falco), and he shares my initials, which is why I type him as MrGW. ^_^

Shfflc-ing with MrGW isn't hard. His 5-frame jump makes short hopping easy (compared to 4-frame jumpers; that 1 frame makes a huge difference). Fast falling and L-cancelling are even easier.

GAW is one of my backups because he's got the sickest moves (in hilarity) to perform in opponents who don't practice against him often.

ppl.....cuz....y.....r....cuz.....2....what is the world coming "2"? Haha... Anyway, Game and Watch is a great character if used in the hands of a master. One awesome move that he can do is the sewer lid flip Attack! AKA: While on Ground, press down + A. Is there anyway more technical way to describe that move?

Pretty solid stuff Kirby. Just a few suggestions:

-The up-Bing might do well on floaty characters, but on a fast faller i try to stay away from it, generally they can hit you before you recover.

-dont be afraid of the bucket. Its a useful tool, just make sure theres some space between you when you use it

-You can upthrow chain fast fallers from 0-70ish percent

-you jumped in and parachuted a few times. I like the parachute as much as the next man, but its a move i generally dont like to do without setting up for it first. For example, a few times you upthrew, then chased it with a fair or bair depending on his DI. THAT is the kind of situation i like to throw a parachute in, as opposed to just out of nowhere.

-CCC too often
-not enough jab A

jab A will help you with some combos. For example, I haven't played as GaW for a while, but I can tell you right now a good opening on Falco is shuffle dair -> jab A -> d-tilt -> f-smash (or shuffle fair). Devestating. jab A can also link into a grab.

Also, that Falco looked sort of...meh.

I agree with many things in this quote.

you rarely use the parachute. you seem to use the fair in many places where a parachute would be much more effective. like at 2:07 a parachute would have killed him, but you used the fair and it just pushed him to the side.

At 2:15 to 2:20 you used the f-tilt 4-5 times in a row each time not hitting him. rather than hesitating to use another move you should assume he's not going to walk into the chair and just try to grab or box him or something.

i saw many opportunities for KOs for both you and your opponent but they weren't completed. you should never let a KO opportunity go to waste. for example, at 0:23 after you torched him off the edge you could have edge guarded with the down tilt or another torch and then edge hogged since edge hogging didnt work at his low percent. This was well done at 0:36 though. at 1:45 the falco didn't edge hog. he was too busy taunting . . . and at 1:50 he missed a perfect spiking opportunity. he was hovering above you and didnt even try to spike. at 2:56 using the d-tilt would have owned him,

overall it's a very good game and watch. i just focused on the obvious problems i saw to improve your gameplay. keep at it.

You should check out Captain Jack's Game and Watch. It is really good. I think I've seen him in a vid from the Rococo of Smash-tournament in Sweden. It was vs Nihonjin's Fox I think. Don't know if it's up on the hub, but I think there is an existing FTP-address you can access to get it.

Got to find that FTP :P
