Just saying that if you are on a platform and someone jumps into a Down Smash, they get hit at least 3 times and at least 23% damage, just thought to see how many of you think it is useful in a match, or teams, like on Fountain Of Dreams your partner holds your opponent and you Down Smash them to hell.

I didn't think Peach's down smash could get any better, but once again I have been mistaken. I also know Peach's down smash works better on a slant. I know Peach's down smash is quick, but what down smash faster besides Zelda's/Shieks?

**** you Peach for being so good! lol

Doc's d-smash is faster I think

Down smash is even better against CCers and on slopes. Ive gotten 88% on coneria one time. I got about 64% on a samus that tried to CC on Dreamland 64

The only faster dsmash in the game is Zelda's (4). Several characters including Peach are tied at 5 frames.

I do that all the time, it does work much better when they are a decent distance below you, like on FoD or battlefield, nice close platforms.

I love when I sweetspot the Dsmash... It seems that I always sweetspot it when, for example, the opponent ends up practically right on top of me and I use it.

I've noticed something. If you hit with the VERY tip of the down smash, it will almost always draw in the person to hit them again. This is also on flat land. I'm not ENTIRELY sure about this, but it seems to happen quite a bit for me.

LAME!

Almost stops corneria from being a counterstage.

So I was playing teams recently, and my fox partner grabbed the last guy last stock (don't remember the character) I ran up and dsmashed, but fox did not let go. Fox continued to hold on to the opponent while grab attacking them. I dsmashed 3 times for ridiculous dmg before the opponent broke out.

Is there anyways to replicate this? Does this have to do with something similar to icy's chainsmashing or was my spacing SOO 1337 I phantomed the dsmash?

I think it might've been phantomed; but the fox held on to the opponent for an unnatural amount of time. Anyone know if phantoms extend the grab length time? I also seem to remember that the grab started at 30%. I had time for i think 3 dsmashes; and he broke out at 120%ish. It was most likely phantoms, but I've GOT to make sure this thing isn't replicable easily, because that would pwn so hard.

IF someone wants more details to try this, i can talk to the people involved and see if they remember.

--end random rantings/ideas/questions for the day.

As long as you dont touch your friend who's grabbing you can land all the hits.

exarch: there are 4 hit box's on the down smash, 2 on each side. sort of like this:

ooŻoo

the upper score being peach herself.

the inner hit box's will send the opponent from a grab. The outers will not.

basically hit with the tip of the d smash, >_>

I enjoy the "opposite direction" effect, if you manage to dsmash an opponent who is not on top of you but and isn't at the tips, but is right in front or back of you-- you opponents are thrown in the opposite direction of the side that the dsmash hit on.

Its fun to smash computers into walls. They're so dumb, they DI into you so you can just keep doing it over and over.
Heh heh, eeeevil.

you can play FoD in singles too, and the same principle applies. if someone is below you and the platform lowers on their head they are wrecked after that.
