Teching Fox's down throw

I was watching a video (Falco vs Fox) where Fox grabbed Falco, and performed a down throw. After the laser blasts, Falco was able to stand straight up and use the reflector on Fox.

How do you perform this? I've tried hitting L/R at different times during the throws, but I just don't believe I'm getting it.

You have to press L/R when you are being thrown down. The timing is earlier then you might think.

Yah jsut press L or R like the second or first laser, and youl bounce back up, and if you point a direction then youll be able to go left or right after you get grabed.
