Anything from Squenix would just involve too many fanboys to this site, GameFAQs, and Nintendo. Snake is enough from Sony games. And even though its likely to see Sora on Brawl, since he did make an appearance on the GBA, I dont agree with the idea.

The problem is that Sonic and Tails isn't that much different from a Mario and Luigi. Being that, while quite different, they're both speedy and can jump quite high. They both can do a spin attack, can dash quite high, and all.

Frankly put, Knuckles would be a better choice than Tails simply cause he's DIFFERENT enough. Even in Sonic Battle, Tails has quite a few similarities to Sonic. While Knuckles is entirely different.

Either way, I'll be happy with whoever makes it.

On the other hand they could make tails float like peach that would make him different and possibly other stuff but I cant think at the moment Im still spazzing from last night *goes to the corner and spazzes*
Edit: And maybe long range weaponry for him and possibly multiple jumps like Jiggly, Kirby ect. The possibilites are endless....and besides if they have the same moves the knock back and everything will be different so yeah...

Sonic would be an interesting change into SSBB(as if Snake wasn't a weird enough change already). I think it would be kinda cool to have Sonic & Tails in the game. I really don't care too much cause I think the game will be great either way.

I would wager that Sonic has already been sought out for SSBB, either by the Big N or Sega. Look at it this way, Sega is already putting their Genesis (and I question why just genesis) games on the Wii's virtual console. Given Sega's new found attachment to Nintendo, I think Sonic has a 99.9% chance of making it in. It would accomplish too much not to do so. Remember, back when SSB64 launched, one of it's selling points was that you could finally pit Mario against Link. Now you could be able to say the same for Mario and Sonic. Plus, it would once and for all bridge the gap between former rivals Nintendo and Segs, as both of their flagship characters appear in the same game. The marketing practically writes itself! But I can't begin to fathom what other Sega character could make it in. I dunno, Vectorman?

Keep in mind that Sonic Wild Fire, the Wii exclusive, is supposed to be INCREDIBLE, because it's returning to its roots and not being a 3D platformer like the PS3/360 versions are.

I wouldn't go as far as Crash, or Rayman. In a way, Snake is somewhat related to Nintendo, in the sense that Twin Snakes was released on the GameCube, and had a handful of Nintendo easter eggs included in the game. Sonic (Sega is joined with Nintendo now), Mega Man (come on, he was BORN on Nintendo) and Pac Man (not only was he on the Nintendo, but he also appeared in the Mario Kart style arcade game that released in Japan.) These guys are factors here. I would keep my eyes on them.

No. No one else. If Sonic isn't in, it's going to be a freaking shocking surprise but he's the only Sega character needed.

Shadow CAN and WILL be one of Sonic's alternate attire. Just like Daisy that looks a bit different in Melee, choosing Sonic's black attire will change him a little.....though, that's what I think, they could ahead and give him a gun if they want! :laugh:

But I'm still saying only Sonic and Tails should be in...if not, there would be more Sega characters than F-Zero, Metroid or Kirby characters.

Actually, it's the complete opposite. Sonic should be the only one considered. He was supposed to be in Melee(I'm not talking about the April's Fool joke) and Sonic's creator said he'd like to see him in the game.
