"Ice Climbers take no skill" and other horrible comments - details inside!

I was playing my awesome ICs against my lame friend's crappy old Falco today and he was johnning as usual because he hates our little parka-wearing friends with a burning passion. Some of the things he said include (but are not limited to):

- "Ice Climbers take no skill"
- "Ice Climbers should be top tier"
- "All ICs do is wavedash around and abuse their downsmash"
- "Throw combos are just flashy gayness"

I'd like to hear everyone's thoughts on these comments. Let's prove him wrong, shall we? I personally think he is bitter because ICs pwn Falco so hard and because his character is boring while ICs are incredibly amazing and awesome.

You can beat him so badly every single time that eventually he doesn't want to play the game anymore. That is the only thing you can reall do. Weed out the weak people. We dont need them.

Haha, that's the thing. He's a really good Falco in all honesty and I only beat him about half the time. But every time I beat him (and not just with ICs) he johns for like 20 minutes after the match.

BTW he also tried to prove that ICs take no skill by playing me in ICs dittos, which is ridiculous in the first place because of how stupid that matchup is, but get this. I beat him three times, a different stage each time, then finally I suicided twice in the fourth one we played and he beat me. As if that's supposed to prove something? :D

For the record, it's 70% of the time with my Falco! On FD maybe 50%... if you're really lucky. I don't think all IC's are cheap, just his. All he does is sheild and wavesmash, wouldn't that aggrivate you? Yes, I did say Chu is gay... in the heat of the moment. I appologize and recognize Chu for his amazing skills. He only 1 stocked me in IC dittos, and I beat his Fox with my IC's twice: his John "I don't use Fox WA WA WA". I'm sorry he wasted your time with this stupid thread. HMWii's IC's = ***** tier.

It's is just because he thinks he is better than you and doesn't want to lose to you at all. Or he just doesn't like losing period. trust me i do what he does i hate losing just one match...kinda pathetic but eh...i like to win and i like to see practice pay off.

In all fairness this is partially the case. I've used Falco far longer than he has ICs, he almost just picked them up. To see him beat me with them, by doing stupid things that I apparently can't defend no matter how much I practice does make me very angry, and I think it's worthy of a John.

Heh, we're getting kinda off topic but yes, you can PM McFox (I'm not sure if he changed it back, he might still be McWii) and ask him to change it for you. This is just for the Wii thing though. Any good IC player would realize they pretty much have to waveshield to get around SHB and approach Falco, especially in FD. That's not cheap, it's resourceful.

Well if the opponent is under IC, then they have a surviving chance cause IC's down air can't do too much. Besides Falco is speedy and a good attacker. Its not the character you guys are using, its the fact he can't figure out a strategy against IC.

I only have about 2 people from my crew of 5 that actually will play my ice climbers without making me change characters because they hate losing/being chain grabbed. It actually got to the point where if my ice climbers would grab my friends falco he would drop his controller and wait until I was done chain grabbing to pick it up and start playing again.

There are ways for falco to get out of the chains, its not impossible. If I am not perfect with my chains then the fox I play against will definitely get out of my grabs and I am stuck trying to get him again.

I have a not-so-similar problem with undr's ICs. I'm a samus player and my constant onslaught has convinced undr that, not only is samus GOD, but that the ICs cannot do well against a good samus. I think both of those ideas are garbage. So, I'm out to prove it by learning the ICs and getting him to learn samus.

I think that any character can do well against any other character, if I believe... ... ... that when I lose, it isn't the characters fault, it is mine LOL cya guys around

anything is fair in SSBM (except glitches and items :P). there is non "cheap". if someone is spamming a move, its ur fault u cant adapt to it. well actually chain grabbing is cheap (the easy kind that shiek does). so its just items, glitches, and chaingrabbing.

To be honest I use Falco, and anyone who plays IC's will tell you there hardest matchup is Peach, and their two easiest are Shiek, and Falco... I totally feel for you dawg... IC's d-syncs are too good, and the poncho wearing twins should move up on the tier list... They own C. Falcon, Falco, are even with Fox, are a counter to shiek, and their only real horrible bad matchup is Peach :( Dang?? Seriously... why don't i dash atk, dash atk, dash atk, blizzard chaingrab, blizzard chaingrab, down smash... oh wait... falco's dead... this upsets me. IC's are too good. Seriously, what is "broken" about Falco... his pillar... which only effectively works on non floats... i have to switch to ganon during those matchups to have any real chance of winning... I mean honestly... why doesn't everyone use a mallet larger than their own head :)

*confused* are you talking down or good about the IC. Then you talk about other charecters??? *confused* choppy sentence structure. IMHO IC are great and love them. I suck with them and could barley hang with the "pros" at my school. But still there always something cool/new/great with them

Peach is the hardest match up, I dont care what any of you say, she can float just high enough to avoid a fsmash, but yet still hit you with the dair then while she is falling, a nair. The only real way to beat peach is by chaingrabbing/infinite grab.

I personally, only use the IG on people that piss me off. My friend Jeff said "The IC suck against Falco, just look" I was having a bad day and couldnt dsync well, then he said "OOOHHHH, just prove me wrong, Oohh, look you cant, your dead!". Needless to say got him up to 200% about 6 times (played 2 games) after the other 2 lives he completely avoided me and shot me with fox's lasers up to 70 damage...One up kick killed me...

Anyway, moral of the story, dont be cheap unless you absolutely have to in order win, or the other guy is a ****.

peach/marth are hard but icys have so much practive vs those two chars most icys can beat them, y because peach/marth are the only chars that can beat icys.

i have nothing against the ic. i just hate my friends ic. all he does is sheild and smash. and an occasional wavedash every now and then. i never say anything except i call him a gay hore. but i learned that i use link projectiles to bomb the crap out of hm.
