Konami have the licenses of many characters between them Snake, in SSBB would insert another surprise like the Ninja turtles or characters from Contra? or even Silent Hill? that would be really excellent :demon:

but when would it ever end?? quite frankly I think snake is a dumb char to have and there are other better 3rd party characters that should of been used

I disagree with all these new Characters. Contra orignally started off on the Nintendo, but KONAMI Ditched Nintendo to become a 3rd Party Developer, if any one AT ALL should make it in is Goemon from the Mystical Ninja Series, why you ask? Well Goemon has only been on Nintendo Consoles.

Goemon's a great choice, but I'd still prefer Simon...

Double Dragon was a product of the now defunct Technos (also the creators of River City Ransom).
I'm not sure who has the rights to DD today...

The only other character from Konami that's actually worthy is a Belmont from Castlevania. Because hell, the list of awesome Castlevania games on Nintendo consoles goes on and on.
Castlevania,
Castlevania III, dracula's curse
Castlevania IV
and Dracula X
Circle of the Moon,
Aria of Sorrow
Harmony of Dissonance.
[too bad Castlevania II was kind of lame, but some liked it]
They'd probably go with Simon, even though Trevor and Richter have much better designs. And even knowing that Konami recently ditched the whole Belmont clan, they are still the root of Castlevania, and the only truly classic characters from the series. Also we have yet to see a coveted whip-based moveset.
[Exactly what ZS Samus's new pistol-jedi-whip can do is not known, but Ib et it can't dangle and flop around]

Drac X for the SNES was a horribly watered down version of the NEC PC-Engine (Turbografx-16) original, sad to say...

It's when people have these crazy idea of having new characters in SSBB. I mean, who would think of something so out of the norm, like the addition of new characters, to a new installment of SSB?
Only the CUH-RAZY people I tells ya.

the addition of non-sense new characters = only an idiot.
ninja turtles? nintendo would have to be OUT OF THEIR FREAKING MIND to add ninja turtles to smash bros.
like... someone would have to have miyamoto and sakurai at gunpoint in order for nintendo have ninja turtles in smash.

How can you have an action become equivalent to a noun? That's like saying:
Running = Me
Eating = Superman
Ninja Turtles do have the capabilities of being in a fighting game. I, for one, grew up watching the old (original?) series of TMNT, and loved them. After numerous games that the TMNT have been in (some in NES and SNES), why not add them to Smash? If you don't want to choose them, fine, I guess to you it'll make the game worse.
EDIT: I'm only saying to add TMNT in brawl for the sake of argument.

What?
OK actually I would like to see TMNT in SSBB now, but leave them out for more important characters that can be added. If some of you believe that adding some little characters from Nintendo, like Needlous from Kirby, is more important than adding major/famous franchise characters from 3rd party companies, then so be it.

Anyway, if the characters in Contra were added, it would result in multitudes of asskicking to the level that they would have their own tier level. It would be like (in ascending order):
Pichu tier
Bottom Tier
Lower Tier
Medium Tier
High
Top
.
.
.
Contra tier.
So adding them would just unbalance the game. It would probably be the only unsensible move by Sakurai if he DID add them. People's heads would explode from their awesomeness, even for those who don't play the game. Socrates would rise from his grave and finally answer a question with an answer, then Bill and Lance from Contra will point at Socrates, causing him to spontaneously combust.
Really the only characters that come to mind that I can see from Konami is the main guy from Boktai and strangely enough Vic Viper (ZoE 2 version) or Jehuty (ZoE 2)
But that's just me. >>;

will be fantastic select character by selecting his/her from game of origin or words that could represent where are from.
it's something like this:
Mushroom Kingdom: Mario - Peach - Bowser...
Metal Gear: Snake - ...
Dreamland: Kirby - Metaknight - ....
F-Zero: Captain Falcon - ...
like grooves(yeah as capcom games), cuz if there are too much characters one screen will not be enough

I'd like to see Alucard or Soma as well as a Belmont. Probably Ritcher because I like his character design.

Speaking of rising from your grave, what about Altered beast?
Omeganon
05-19-2006, 06:00 PM
I'd like the altered beast main character(I don't remember his name) but his A attacks would be something like Zato from guilty gear beastly movements up+A, down+A, fwd+A, keep that in mind

'tis simple, young lad.
a swift keystroke...
running = me, VOILA!
amazing, yes?
ninja turtles are already in a fighting game.
why not add them to smash, you say?
because we're not posting on smashboard in an insane asylum. :D

TMNT are orginally a comic franchise. thus, they will not ever be in smash. sakurai has said no manga characters. i'm confident that extends to american comics.
