Actually, Sonic was going to be in Mario Kart: Double Dash! instead of SSBM. That idea scrapped, and Sonic never came to be.

Some things would likely be similar, although he wouldn't be so dependent on his friends or Joe Musashi being a cheapass. I don't know where the fireball came from, either.

Sonic is perfectly easy to imagine being in Smash Bros.

There were some Sonic racing games out there, like Sonic Drift 1 and 2 for Game Gear and Sonic R for SEGA Saturn and PC.

Why do people refuse to be smart enough to realise Sonic can fight? He punched or attacked in like, 5 or so games now. Sonic Fighters, Sonic Battle, Shadow the Hedgehog, and I'm pretty sure he had an attack in the Advance games. Also, remember Sonic does have arms and legs. Which means he's more than capable of punching and kicking, as well as headbutting.

Man! I completely forgot about that! Now I realize it was true! But Smash is a more popular franchise to Nintendo right now (no offense to Mario Kart fans), but I'm absolutely possitive about seeing Sonic in this game, and I wouls feel really disappointed if they don't add him now.

After Sonic gets in, MAYBE on the next installment. If Nintendo figures out he's not a clone of Sonic.

And that'll be the problem. Shadow doesn't deserve cloneage...well, neither did Ganondorf, but atleast HE turned out good.

Only Knuckles, Tails, and Eggman/Robotnik have Metal Forms. This is the problem with Amy, only her -pathetic- Sonic Hereos Metal Form can apply, and it's not even "Metal" Amy, but "Metal Team Rose", which is another problem.

Simply put, the first 3 have the best situation for the game. *fears Emerl style characters for other Metals*

If they are going to put in shadow, I don't want him to be a clone.

I mean seriously, clones should be alternate costumes with slightly different movesets. Would it REALLY be that difficult to make mario look like doc and just add some pills?
All they would have to do is change the way shadow would run and alter his second jump.. Maybe shift his weight a little, like make him floaty.

I've read it too, but every since then, everytime I mentioned it, I was always called a liar. Glad there are some people here who actually knows it.

I remember reading it on planetgamecube or something like that, but when people started calling me a liar, I went back there to look for it and it's sorce of proof, but never could find it.

You'd think wrong. Sonic is the perfect choice as far as a Mario fighting game goes. Mario vs Sonic has been top priotity than others for ages.

Mario Kart is for Mario characters only. Even though Diddy Kong was sorta like a non mario player, BUT Donkey Kong was the father of Mario games, so his nephew can be excepted

Remember, Super Smash Bros were for Nintendo characters only, and that changed.

I wish they would use SSB characters in a raceing game. I can imagine Mario, Link, Samus, and Kirby rideing around in Go-Karts XD Hey, Pac-Man did it, why not actual Nintendo characters? XD

Sonic (on foot) would have high top speed, good accel but crap drift and turning (in short, you need to learn which button is brake.)
Midna (on wolf) and Link (on Epona) would have ungodly tight drifts, and nice accel
Captian falcon would have an RC model of his racecar sized for the Kart race...
Samus would simply be a morph ball, Kirby would ride a star, ect.

I had a dream a couple of days ago that Sonic was in the game. And I had a dream last year that Super Sonic was in the game.

So obviously, he will be in.

I've been having that dream once every couple of days since Melee was anounced...so thats like 100 times i think.He must be in,he is the top rated 3rd party character.
