im just hoping that Sega will turn this around. pessimism doesnt help but it puts things into perspective. im not even sure if Sega is thinking about how the development of M&SatOG is going or whether itll even sell well. everyone expects it to either be like Mario Party with sports games instead. or just be another Wii sports. i just hope they can at least find a way to make it good. in this meantime, they cant just use that as an excuse to throw away Sonic for brawl. heres the problem though...the first announcment for M&SatOG CONVENIENTLY came out while everyone was first speculating about Sonic in brawl...that ****ing scares me

Same thing I thought about the whole Mario and Sonic at the Olympic games announced during Sonic in Brawl speculation. Maybe it's a sign they've joined forces or that they need something to map Sonic on the right path with Nintendo. I just don't want it to be the Sonic and Mario get together, come on it's the Olympics like who actually goes crazy for that stuff.

I'm gonna change my Sonic avatar to Classic Sonic, the avatars confuse me bit when I'm scrolling through a page

Don't worry--I'm sure that M&S Olympics is more of a good sign of things to come between 'Tendo and SEGA moreso than a bad sign.

Yes, it does look reassuring for the companies for Mario and Sonic at the Olympics. However, the main appeal, attraction, theme, etc that is meant for Mario and Sonic at the Olympics, is that these two characters have finally come together in the same game for the first time in video gaming history.

That's all nice and dandy, but having Sonic in Smash sort of ruins the point and awe of Olympic Games.

Now, I'm not saying I agree or support this, I just think it's one of the perspectives on the argument that need to be considered.

Now, I'm not saying I agree or support this, I just think it's one of the perspectives on the argument that need to be considered.you know what really sucks, Kabyk? you know what REALLY ****ING SUCKS? its primarily the fact that prior to yesterday, i never saw M&SatOG as a potential Sega excuse/****ed-up-reason not to have Sonic in brawl. now it makes perfect sense why M&SatOG was a big announcement right after the whole "Sonic could be in brawl cuz Snake's in" phase. any opportunity Sega can take to do less work. theyll ****ing do it. hence Sonic Adventure 1 being rushed. hence Sonc 2006 ALSO being rushed. like i said before by the end of this year, we'll know for sure if Sega has fixed/reinvented Sonic (like they said they would) or whether theyve broken him beyond repair.

I hate that excuse, but Brawl will be big for Hardcore Nintendo Gamers really, Mario and Sonic at the Olympic games is not as big, and is very casual.........So people that aren't for Brawl (Casual gamers) will have that crossover and probably won't even know about Sonic in Brawl.

There's so many mini arguments in this one big argument it's so hard to tell what SEGA and Nintendo is agreeing on.

Mario and Sonic at the Olympic games comes out in November, SEGA will constantly put Sonic in everything, SEGA probably wants to go big with this crossover and go all out. Casual gamer meaning a guy who probably doesn't ever play games or mothers and children, that sorta thing. Why not, SEGA would be stupid if Sonic isn't in Brawl, the constant fake articles, rumors, complaints, and possibly a load full of letters of pissed off Sonic fans concerning it. It wouldn't really take away the awe of The Olympics, Mario and Sonic at the Olympic games is focused on a Mario Sonic crossover. Unlike the Olympics Brawl consist of Snake, that changed the character roster completely, now its not just a Mario Sonic crossover it's focused on Nintendo and 3rd party cross over.

What if Sonic wasn't unlocked in brawl until there was also Mario and Sonic Olympics on the wii's saved data??? I'm not serious about that... Don't worry, I would hate for that to happen. I'm just going to keep staying positive about Sonic's chances, I'm not going to let Mario and Sonic Olympics worry me until I know for sure whether Sonic is in brawl or not. =]

Yeah, the "unlock characters through other game saves" thing is a worn out idea from the early days of PS2 fighters....that would suck if you had to buy Olympic Games just to unlock Sonic. >_<

I think every character has an individual story, just with characters included, the whole Star ship thing, then Pit talking to that Peluteta girl, it seems everyone just doesn't do the same thing. Seeing Sonic with Mario and his crew would just let me know SEGA has found a friend in the rival they had so many years ago. Honestly SEGA needs Nintendo, they are doing so bad right now, the only way they can save them selves is by making whatever they can and hope it sells. Maybe this is the day we have all been waiting for when Sonic and Mario sign a treaty. I mean Mario sells more he'll always be more famous then Sonic because he has never had a downfall, and most of his alone titles aren't easily forgettable like Sonic's. How about we all stop being negative and just think Sonic belongs to Nintendo for now.
