Placer County Smash League.

So I was thinkin that there are smashers in and surrounding the Roseville/Rocklin/Lincoln area that don't regularly smash it up, whether it be just for sh*ts and giggles, to train, or whatever. So I come to you all with a proposal: Schedule smash sessions/fests within this thread.

Just a basic invite if you wish to smash it up with anyone is all this thread is. Be specific on dates for smashing too even if it's like, ex." Tomorrow my place (address) at 4:00 to whenever."

I think that it's about time that everyone got to chillaxin with each other again or for once or whatever. Not to mention I'm gettin my 97 Honda Civic LX tomorrow, (ALL MIIINEEE!!!) and will finally have the freedom to drive for smash and other stuff.

Let's get smashing finally!!!

Wow ninty does this mean u can finally drive to tournaments and all that and visit just for smashing or even *gasp* help support the smash community in your area by providing rides to ppl to get to and from tournaments?!^_^

Yes Simna that does mean that I will be able to contribute to the smash community with rides and the sorts. And yes I will be trtaveling to smash. . . I bought my 97 honda civic lx just last thursday and am now fully capable of the above said. So smashing throughout placer will be not a problem.

If people start hosting smash or I do, then I think that we can really get this area hustling. If I have to I'll start scheduling smashfests and tournies throughout the area at people's houses and what nots cause this area needs to be more awesome than it already is.

Dman: have any open days to smash this comming week? I'd be happy to have you over for smash or me drive up there either or. Let me know asap!

Hmmm.....we're about 40 minutes from each other nintendo, which isn't placer county, but hey, it's not a bad drive at all. I'm always up for a few games.

To NinKing and the rest of you guys in Placer County, there's a great website called sacgaming.org that everyone here should check out. It's a non-profit organization that simply promotes meeting up and having some friendly competition. We recently had a pretty big Mario Kart: DD tourny with a little bit of Soul Calibur 3 and Capcom vs SNK 2:EO mixed in. We were also messing around with Smash Bros. before the tourny got started on an 86" projection screen and then at night we got to use the 200" big screen! I think the guy who runs it is going to have another tourny around his birthday this month so maybe we could all meet up there. He lives in Roseville right off Douglas.

okay sorry for the late reply guys i've been having some internet problems lately :(

anyways, i've been thinking of having it saturday at around 7pm. how does this work for everyone? i'll send you each pm's with my contact information.

i live in an apartment, so im hoping for no more than 10 people, which should be fine. im planning on getting two tv's running with smash bros. bring your own controller, of course. also, i only have one copy of smash, even though i do have enough gamecubes. if someone could bring another copy i'd appreciate it.

so far we've got nintendoking with maybe a few guys, dman and his stepsons, hopefully simna, maybe this other guy i know, me, and my roommate.

Ok seeing as how there are possibly a good number of people going to this it looks like I'll be keeping the people I bring down to a minimum. As of now I'm only going to be bringing this guy James who I just smashed with yesterday. If there's not a problem with room I'll see about trying to get a hold of the Roseville portion of Teamscape to see if they wanna come.

I will also be bringing a TV, a GC, a copy of smash, a memory card, and maybe 1 or 2 extra controllers just in case people don't know the B.Y.O.C policy lol. Alright looks like this is gonna be pretty **** fun!! Oh and I'm gonna bring some munchies too if that's ok. Mm mm mmm, Oreos and Arizona Ice Teas.

Man I haven't been up to the Sac area in a while, and dang I was almost gonna come to this but then I found out that Rocklin is about 105 miles away from me...if you guys ever go to a smashfest in regular Sac post that shizz.

I actually plan on getting a rather large smashfest going in a bit so stay tuned for that.

I want to train some new smashers and what not and train for OC2 in the meanwhile so there will be many smashfests to come.

Thanks for having us over, Raven. We've got a lot of practicing to do before we get to the tourny level. Well, maybe my boys have some practicing to do because I don't have a lot of free time on my hands anymore.

I had an awesome time at the smashfest last night. Max I personally want to thank you for holding the smashfest it wasw a lot of fun and I hate peach. James what more do I need to say? Me simna and my good friend james just went to the Yuba City tourney (1st Simna, 2nd Me lol) and smashed it up in Rancho Cordova and Sacramento afterwards at a couple little smashfests.
