While popo is crawling back up the stage, have nana perform a smash.

You need to desynch, start charging the smash with Nana, and then while charging get Popo to wavedash backwards off the ledge onto the edgehog.

That, or Popo needs to be crawling back up. Popo's "Box" doesn't exist when he's on the ledge, so you can't control nana while hanging.

The wd backwards is something I still can comprehend. It takes to much time to desynch, charge smash, turn around to wave dash. Besides the long time it takes to do all that, it'll be a hassel just to time it right enough for it to work. IMO its just the same as doing it the "crawl" up way, if not worst. And there are better edge gaurding technique.

To the last two posters, I was answering Jenova99's question about how you can get Popo to stay holding the ledge for a long time while Nana smashes, and the only way to make Nana smash without Popo letting go of the ledge or him crawling back up is to Desynch. And it doesn't take ages to do either, I can practically do both the smash and WD at the same time now I've had some practice.
Both the crawl up and stay versions have their pros and cons, and both suffer from the opponent just recovering over your head. It is a useful edgeguard I like to think though, since it prevents the opponent getting the ledge or recovering low at the same time, which is especially useful against characters or situations where high recovery is difficult.
