View Full Version : Best aerials?

What are the best aerials to use? I mainly use the uair, then they jump, and before they land I use the nair to knock them off the stage then I can just edge guard/hog them to death. I cant seem to get the uair->bair on any character, maybe I just need to practice more. Anyway, what are the best aerials to use?

I actually find myself using most, if not all the aerials. I'll give the most common applications
F-airs are pretty effective shhfl'd at low damage after an ice block.
U-airs are good for juggling.
B-airs are good for damage/end of u-air chain/shffld outta shield.
D-air is useful for d-throw d-air chain, and rare instances to break a combo
N-air is probably the most useless IMO, sometimes a shffl'd nair is good for starting up a grab combo, but for the most part b-air makes it useless

For me, the problem with shffling fairs is that by the time I hit the ground and lcancel it, the attack is over and it doesnt hit the opponent.

i like bair best... but i have so much trouble timing it due to the ICs floatyness

Same here. I don't fastfall fairs. I'm not even sure if it's possible to shffl fairs because the attack takes so long to start up.

I edgehog and then B-air if they try to jump over top of me-works pretty well if you only have one climber. You gotta be careful to time it so that their Up-B doesn't get inside your hammer, though.

At not too high percents, you can follow up a move that sends them up with a U-air-Double Jump-Uair, or U-Air-Double Jump-B-air depending on where they go.

u air to juggle em
bair to hit em off + its fast
d air to stop combo or if ur opponent is dump
fair to spike them(smashing f+a) or hiting them( just f+a)\
nair just to smack em
