Falco vs Peach

Who has the advantage in this match. I also play Link so who would i have a better chance as? Falco or Link?

This match is thought difficult by both players, the Falco and the Peach. The peach has the downsmash, which to falco hurts a lot, but the falco has SHL and his spike, which if used right can destroy a peaches recovery. The match more likely goes in the way of the peach player though. I would try link as he has more range then falco and peach, along with the projectice game to keep her away. Link's reach> Falco's in this case.

It is kind of an even match. It all comes down to who is better with the character. A good Falco can mess up a good peach and vice versa. Stay away from her down smash as much as you can, as there isn't really a defense against it, just don't crouch cancel it. Lol. SHLs will keep her out of the air, so that is a good thing. There isn't really a way to destroy Peaches unless you can combo them very well. Anyways, I'd go Falco instead of Link.

Don't forget about Peach's chain throw...unless it's different between Falco and Fox. If you watch some vids between Ken's Fox and someone who's name I forget's Peach, the minute Peach starts a throw, Ken doesn't get out until about 110%...

What the lasers don't actually help as much as it does with most characters. Although the laser can stop her float, usually a peach will advance above the lasers. Peach's chain throw does work with falco just as it does for Fox.

But Peach is easy to combo for the most part.

I think the match-up is slightly in Peach's favor assuming both players know how to play against each character.

if she trys to float above the lasers, don't fast fall the shl's. they'll hit a tiny bit higher. try to catch/avoid turnips, they are reletivly easier to catch than say a bomb so it's worth trying. Watch out for the d-smash and the chain grabs. I try to keep a peach in the air because falco's speed beats out peach's somewhat laggy aerials. Keep in mind that peachs recovery is mostly horizontal so spiking is a big plus. Unfortunatly, it's hard to do because of her parosal's priority. If you can get under her to spike her below the edge.

In short, spam the SHL's, keep her stunned in the air from shine combing, fear the d-smash and chainthrowing. As many people have said, it's based on the skill level of each player, but it does tend to favor peach.

This is actually a good matchup because it is not really determined on counters. Peach is known to have equal battles with Space Animals where it really is based most on the player. Peach can chainthrow and can do very well in general against a falco but a falco can destroy Peach in terms of power and pillar combos as well as ledgeguarding...

Quak a peach who knows how to play a falco will full jump float, thereby avoiding the lasers all together. Hopefully you can get in an uair while she is floating or try and make her come back to the ground.

Well said. My sister plays as peach, and when she's not rusty we win just about the same number of matches.

I always have trouble fighting peach's up close. From distance its falco's game.

Peach has da upper hand, but falco can still do it. Why?
Peach puts little effort 2 win. Well falco has 2 put A LOT more effort 2 win da game.

Peach>falco...
1.dsmash
2.chaingrab
3.cheap kills
4.can survive at high %. Hard 2 knock out since most peach CC & they float.
5.peach has a lot of moves 2 knock out a peach.

Falco>peach
1.laser spam & keep ur distance
2.pillar
3.only real way 2 knock out a peach is by . a.) shine+upair
. b.) (100%)Jab to fsmash
. c.) Bair if they DI wrong

Falco has a harder time knocking peach out, all peach has 2 do is a fthrow or dsmash.

Once again I say peach has da upper hand.

Upair really sucks. I just DI it and I'll survive it at 160% on Final Destination. Falco has a much easier time killing Peach. However, I assume you don't DI, which is why you die so easily from fthrow and dsmash. I have never seen a DI:ing Falco die at 110% from either of those, whilst Peach does from Falco's fsmash all the time.

You've got some points. It's SHL however ;)
Falco's uair owns btw. If both hits connect, you're probably dead at high %, if one hit connects, it sets up for bair if fast enough. DONE

But yeah fthrow should really be DId.

I noticed that the original question also asked if Link or Falco would be better against Peach. If I can recall I believe Link does decently well against Peach due to his uair and projectiles, but hold it to me. Low-tiers aren't my thing.

Fthrow doesn't have to kill to be effective. It sends Falco off stage for easy edgeguarding.

Really though, laser camping well enough will work wonders vs. a Peach, and it's why I think Falco > Peach.

You will not be able to laser camp a good peach. Either they will A) Float over your lasers with a full jump and still advance on you, or B) camp you until she gets a zombie turnip.

Dtilt is very nice though. Make sure you can hit it though or less you'll be in some big dsmash trouble.

Lets be real here gentlemen... Peach>Falco on FD, Mute City, and Maybe PS. Falco's Pillar only works so much, but do to floatyness and DI peach can escape it quite easily at max 50%... She is able to gay Falco like no other.... and lazer camping a good peach gets you what... an extra 14 dam... Am i really the only Falco player in all of smash that believes with a crazy recovery, turnips, d-smash, chaingrab, ect... Peach>Falco... Do us a favor and use Link... or better yet be like Chu and use young link... Peach is the reason I second Ganon and Jiggs... and I also don't believe they are allergic to turnips like Falco :)

Turnips are much more effective against Jiggs/Ganon than Falco. But obviously are less devastating to their recoveries. Jiggs/Ganon are two higher tier characters that I use turnips against more than any other. For your !peach character, I don't think either of those have a really strong advantage over peach. I even believe peach beats jiggs, although I know many would disagree. You should take up marth for pwning peaches =P.

I like yoshi's story as falco against peach. Utilt to shine at about 75%, less if they don't DI both attacks (from the bottom of the stage) is so broken, and oh so fun. Green Greenes would be my second pick probably, but I know not everyone feels comfortable on that stage.

Born, it is possible to shoot a higher laser to hit Peach but the time it takes to full jump and fastfall and hit defeats the entire purpose of the laser stopping her from advancing. It takes too long.

I'll have to disagree with PS being a Peach stage though. It's the longest stage in the game. Peach isn't good with bigger stages; it stops her from comboing. Many good Peachs ban Dreamland before they would ban Yoshi's Story.
