What is the point of the waveshine? I can never really use it efficiently running or shffl dair to shine work better. Shinecancel? I believe I heard it somewhere, I could be mistaken. Thanks in advance.

say you go in for a pillar, the shield your dair, shield your shine, you can always waveshine back and forth infront and behind their shield shining to try and break it, it'll force them to have their shield broken it take the shine, then you start up a combo. that's the only thing i really use it for.

Theres lots of points for waveshining, for now since I can't waveshine perfectly yet im just doing jumps out of shining and continueing combos there, but i'd rather not stay in air anymore, seems a little dangerous against pros to be in the air sometimes.

Good way to practice waveshine is to hold down, and use the reflector and wavedash just by ducking so your in same spot and shine and repeat, if you can do that its time to start moving around instead of waveshining in one position. (At least thats what im doing, =p)

Besides what kaiZen said, it's mostly useful for shine comboing fastfallers, because if they DI your shine and you SH out of it instead of wavedash out of it, you won't be able to catch up to them to continue the combo.

Exactly, Waveshining is used for the purposes of such characters as fox, falco and falcon mostly, and its used for DI or tech chasing, also waveshining gives you more creativity in combo making and IMO make them much more devestating for the fact you can combo fastfallers from 0-80% and they can DI themselves towards an edge and lead to edgeguarding. IMO this is a must use advanced technique for falco to compete against higher levels of play with fox's and their shinespiking.

Yeah waveshining to follow there DI on the ground before you jump after them greatly increases your chances of continuing the pilaring. Bombsoldier does this too. Also you can technically combo a fox, falco, and (I think?) falcon when they are at low life with waveshines. It just pops them up and u follow them with a waveshine and continue.
