#1: What's with the variable speed on the Ice Climbers DThrow? When I DThrow Fox with Popo, it seems to be almost instant, but on some other characters it takes Popo for ever to throw them. This likes to mess up my timeing with the Nana DAir CT. What makes the Ice Climbers throwing speed so different? Weight, falling speed, maybe damage.
#2: I'm fairly new to the Ice Climbers and have absolutely no idea how they do in teams. I'm assuming they get raped just from what I've seen, so I'm just looking for the opinions of experienced Ice Climbers.
#3: Yes, I have read the desynch guide in this section of the forum, but is there any other cool (heh, pun) desynchs that aren't mentioned in that guide? It just seems like there is more to desynching.
Thanks in advance for any help.

1. weight effects the speed of the throw
2. they suck in teams. (I still use em)
3.uuuuhh, just make up your own, its not hard haha.
about the 2nd point: there are a lot of vids about chu and he still uses them (very well) in team. Watch out about the champ tournament yayuhuzz in the 2 vs 2 section.

Yeah effects the throwing speed, Jiggs and Fox are light characters (despite Fox's falling speed) yet when you try a d-throw d-air combo on Bowser it seems like you have to wait forever before you give Nana commands.
IC's aren't 'bad' in teams, they're just tricky. You have to be very percise on wavedashes and careful with smashes. EdreesesPieces and I just won a tournament vs DSF and Blitz, so they can't be 'that' bad in teams. Not to mention Chu+Mana

My Ice Climbers are proficient, although they are still in need of a lot of work. My partner in teams plays Falco. In teams, he fires the lasers over my Icys, which is just high enough to hit Marth, Shiek, Samus, Ganon, etc. That's just one little tactic. The team functions differently depending if Nana is dead or alive, and, like all teams, fighting certain characters requires a different mind and move set to win. This Falco/Ice Climbers team however seems to work quite well.
My guess is that this team is powerful because Ice Climbers are good at saving Falco from death (wavesmashes help a lot) and Falco dishes out a lot of damage with his shine combos, not to mention the two mallets. Chain throwing in teams doesn't really work unless the opposing team cares nothing for helping one another, or its 2 v 1.
Ice Climbers don't necessarily get owned in teams unless your partner cares nothing about Nana, who's as vital to have around in teams as she is in 1v1. If your getting wrecked, it's likely she'll be all over the place doing her best to get back with you. If your partner treats her like a level 1 computer and kills her if she happens to be in the way of his attack, then it weakens the team as a whole, at times drastically, and you may have to wait till your next life before you're useful again.

I gotta tell u, my ICs work just fine in team action.
I depends a lot of who you are making team with, my teammate it's a samus and we make a great team. In one hand we have all his missiles and stuff, and in the other hand we have my hammers, so it's kind of sending the cavalry with an air strike!
