Playing against edge stealers

Ever since I introduced edge stealing to my friends they've become experts at it. I was wondering if there are any stradegies for getting around this or is it pretty much all based on how fast you recvoer and luck. Thanks guys.

try overshooting instead of sweet spotting a ledge, if that dosen't work I don't know, that's the only thing I can think of.

Well there are sometimes where you can't do anything. The only advice is to upb or overb onto the stage, assuming you are close to make it there. But it is a two way street, so you should be able to do it to them.

there are certain char that can do things about it. like i ve seen a link throw a bomb right on the ledge knocking the opponent down (fricking amazing) very difficult tho. same with mario and doc, i seen them cape ppl off the ledge.

if they just stay on the edge and dont roll back on when u try 2 sweetspot, phantasm BOOM lmao

I haven't tried it but can't you phantasm at them and grab the ledge while they get knocked off?

you can if they suck. but everyone will see it coming and press L or R or whatever to gain invincibility frames while you still can't grab the ledge so you die.
