S.V. A.Z. EB Games Tourney Results...

Hello Friends. So a nice little tourney went down today in SV and about 20 people showed up. It was nice to see so many people come out and play i didnt even think there were that many smashers here. The rules where a bit different then what im used too. They went like this. 5 stock, 3 min timed, 1 round. No Edgehogging, Single Elimantion. The no hedgehogging threw me off but the people at EB games wanted to keep things fair. :laugh:

Im not sure what the other standings where. I didnt even get all the names. This Comp seemed a bit rushed. So time to get everything down was just not happening. Shoutouts....

TinyTim: Good too see up coming talent in Sv. Your Falco was a pleasure to watch and helped make mince meat out of Mr.J's sheik. I almost couldnt believe my eyes, my toughest foe and best friend got takin out 1st round.

Elvis: **** man you got 3rd. You proved alot to the people down here. I hate to say it but you were my toughest fight. :laugh: I gotta stop playing with you your learning to much from me. :laugh:

Mr.J: Mr.Cocky pants. You got a tuff 1st match and man i thought going into this you were taking the whole thing for sure. Im just glad we didnt play 1st round. :p

Me!: Haha what can i say i got 1st. The tourney rules were way infavor for me, i would jack fools for a few lives and float around untill time ran down. Now im 30$ richer. :p

I hate to say it, but that's a pretty awful ruleset. If anything, no edgehogging makes it LESS fair, and edgehogging as a technique is definitely more fair than a 3 minute time limit. The time limit heavily favors characters with the capability to run away, FD itself is not a "fair" stage because it gives power to chain grabbers and projectile spammers over others... and yet all characters can edgehog. And single elim?... well, all I can say is I hope that the money involved was very little because people were being ripped off.

But congrats on winning anyhow and stuff :)

I chaingrab and I do agree. The Tournament was crap. Yea. It was some 30,20, and 10 dollar gift cards for EB Games. But no one edgehogged. I'm sure, I've woulda been pwned with edgehoging on XD

Yeah it sucks real smashers couldnt have made the rules. Instead the buttholes in EB games made it how they wanted.

jus like Mr. J and Turnup said above. The tournament was pretty lame. The rules were stupid and the stage was FD. I am just here to give shoutouts and props.
Mr J. - You have a nasty sheik and the match we had was awesome. i have never played anyone who can actually keep up with what I was able to do. You were ****** awesome.
NickNyte - I hope and think you're Elvis and I wanted to play you and your Marthdash but I was never able to since TURNUP TOSSER got rid of both of us. Hope to play you sometime.
Turnup - I have NEVER played anybody like you before. i had no idea so many of those attacks worked like they did on me. I will NEVER use Sheik on you EVER again. From now on, FALCO all the way I hope. You were just ****** ill and disgusting at the game. ****. Hope to play you again. Jus with Falco this time and overall good games to all of you that were at the tournament that I did not mention.

Well sure, the Tourny in Tucson is on the 8th next month, ill be gonig along with Sean your welcome to join us.As for a tourny down here in the mean time that would be great. Sean and I were going to put one on too so thats cool ummmm you should should probably call me so we can go over how we want to put it together. oh yeah one more thing dont triple post or even double post its not cool.
