Hey guys.. (I did read the guide and do a search, no topics were dedicated soley to approachals.)

Well I'd like to be better with the ICs but its hard because I can never get close to grab or smash them.

I was just wondering if you guys could be so kind to list some general approachal tactics?
Pleaaaseeeee...

P.S.... How do the ICs fare against a Jigglypuff?

Actually approaches are pretty easy with ice climbers. Just wavedash into your smashes and grabs, dash attack, Ice Block Chaser to get people shield and then you can grab easily. And use some mindgames to get your oppenent where you want them to be and to confuse them.

i like using dash attack or as action said the Ice Block Chaser. YOu can wd back and forth so scare ur opponent then grab him. I think IC's grab is one of the best ways to start off. If you dont feel like getting close to early just spam ice blocks till they come after you(make them approach you first)

it's hard to do that against a Jigglypuff though, since my friend who play em likes to fly around and such.

Thanks for the advice, I'll try em out.

I want to add that for swordsmen, that unless they suck, pretty much the only approach is a mindgame or fake out (which is a mindgame anyways. :ohwell: )

As for Jigglypuff, time the wavesmash forward smash. Personally, I like use the blizzard desynch at times because it has a little bit of anti-air to it.
