I'd laugh, but your huge mix-up is understandable considering that Reggie is only Nintendo of America's spokesperson. Don't worry; it's not like you're missing out on a whole lot.

Anyway, I don't like this idea a single bit, but I'll let other people explain why. Though the fact that nobody outside of America and the internet will know who he is is blatantly obvious by the last two posts.

The fact that the above posters did not know who Reginald "Reggie" Fils-Aime, Superman AND the Hulk beater, is, shocked me. His popularity crosses over even in Europe! Anybody who doesn't know Reggie has been living under a rock!

But it could also mean that they aren't as dedicated. Some people don't even know who Iwata is!

Oh, and for your information, Reggie has recently been promoted to President of Nintendo of America.

I don't think Nintendo would add real people into SSBB. Dr. Wright from the SNES Sim City and Sim City 64 isn't really Will Wright, because they both do different things. Real people in video games don't count as video game characters (e.g. Professor Kawashima, Mike Tyson, etc.).

The President. Of Nintendo. The company we all love. You should at least know who he is.

As for him being a character; no. No real people, please. This includes Ryuta Kawashima, who would be a suitable trophy, at the very least.

I love that this thread exists. It makes me laugh because even considering the infinite sarcasm from which this idea most likely originated, its actually a more realistic idea than Sora, Cloud, and Sonic combinded because at least Reggie is owned by Nintendo. Or rather, they own his soul. Who cares if he hasn't appeared in any video game ever? Nintendo doesn't have to pay though the butt to put him in Brawl, so its actually concievable. Would I ever want it to happen? Nope, but I'm glad it is suggested because it puts all of the other unrealistic suggestions into perspective. You have my props.

Kirby Popstat, you can't be too hard on people. After all, it was a fairly recent promotion to President, and who bothers to keep track of all the various Vice Presidents they have? However, it is sad to think that there are still people in the world who are unware of his a**-kickage and name-takage. Evidently his work is not yet done...
