Both shines are equally fast!!! They can both be cancelled equally fast as well. However since Falco's jump is slower, you have to wait longer for a wavedash or another shine etc.

A few days ago Sheik was still top of top tier. **** tiers.

please do not flame me for information that i have retrieved. Fox is considered the best character. This has nothing to do with tiers and is fact. A few days ago sheik was top, i do not know what this has to do with Fox being considered the best. And please do not "hate" this list because of personal reasons as i am merely trying to point out differences for people who may not know as i didn't when i first started playing. I myself am a Falco player and have no problem admitting that Fox is considered the best.

Who really needs to know the differences though? If you can't figure it out yourself even though you own the game you're just not smart. Especially on this forum, most people aren't noobs (unless you go to Melee Disc.).

No one 'NEEDS' to know anything really do people need to know how to wavedash? Of course not. There are people joining the forum everyday and some of them may be new and it would help most people who don't know the differences. I didn't know the differences until i found out online. Most people would only know the blaster and speed difference. This is why im compiling the list and if you do not like it then you are not forced to read or contribute. Flaming is not necessary, either contribute or leave your discrepencies to yourself please

KyUuKyUu's point is that this information is common, and that the majority of the users on this board, whether they be new or old, already know this.

Knowing this information isn't really needed for one to be able to play well. However, knowing how to WD, l-cancel, and knowing how to use the rest of the advanced techs is much more important.

I didn't know the differences until i found out online.

You just need to play the game to realize these differences, it's quite painfully obvious that their lasers/movement/jump/etc is all different.

True. Just so you don't spaz out about me not contributing:

-Most technical moves (wavedash, short hop, l-cancel etc.) are harder to accomplish with Fox due mostly to his speed.

Nope, maybe his short hop but that's it.

-Fox and Falco are only two characters in the "God Tier" of the new tier list.

-Falco is known for his ability to combo his opponent to death in the right hands.
-Fox's infinite shine is very powerful and can lead to early K.O's.

Almost all chars can combo their opponent to death in the right hands. The infinite shine only works against high traction characters.

-Falco jumps higher however more slowly

While true, it would be misleading to anybody that actually needs this list, as there is only a 2 frame (1/30th of a second) difference between their jumps.

-Fox recovers more quickly

I'm not sure about this, but you could put that his recovery is much better than Falco's rather than much quicker. Also, his upB has protective flames while charging and Falco's does not.

So there you go, now I contributed even though I still feel this isn't really needed. Maybe someone out there will read it and think it's helpful. Maybe.

edit: Oh, and the most basic ones ever, that Falco's dair spikes and Fox's doesn't, that Falco's fsmash and dsmash are stronger while Fox's usmash, uair, and utilt are stronger.
