The Great San Antonio Tournament: BlueFork's Final Destination (8-5-06)

One last tournament before Bluefork (well at least Bluezaft) is off to Dallas and S.O.S. is off to California, never to be heard from again.

August 5th (Saturday)
Registration and free play at noon, the tournament commences at 1.
Location:
3233 N St. Mary's at 281
San Antonio, TX 78212
The tournament is being relocated to the old Albertson's near the church.


Rules (MLG style):

1v1:
$10 entry, 1st place--60%, 2nd-25%, the remaining 15% is divided between 3rd and 4th

4 stock, 8 minute time limit, best two matches out of three (ties decided by damage given, not sudden death)
Random stage picked first, loser picks level after that
*BONUS!* The church will be kicking into the pot a good bit of money, $150 from what I last heard.

Teams:
$5 entry per team member ($10 per team), 1st place team--60%, 2nd--30%, 3rd--10%
4 stock, 10 minutes time limit, team attack on, best two matches out of three
Random stage picked first, loser team picks level after that


Random stages: Final Destination, Battlefield, Dreamland, Pokemon Stadium, Yoshi's Story, (random for teams only: DK64, Rainbow Cruise), (random for singles only: Fountain of Dreams)

Banned stages: Hyrule Temple, Yoshi 64, Fourside, Icicle Mountain, Flatzone, Venom, Brinstar Depths, Big Blue, Onett, Mushrooom Kingdom 1, Peach's Castle, Kongo Jungle(banned for singles only: Mushroom Kingdom 2, Great Bay), (banned for teams only: Fountain of Dreams, Mute City)



Between 5-8 TVs will be provided by the church for tournament use. If you feel that isn't enough, feel free to bring your own TV.

Rules:
1v1 Double Elimination
Best 3 out of 5 rounds, 2 out of 3 sets
90 second time limit
Bans: Akamaru and Itachi.......nah, just kidding. Only Akamaru
Entry Fee: $10
BYOC
You can change characters anytime, but once you win your first set you must stay that character until you lose.

We want to start this tourny around 3 PM. Come around 12 for some casuals. Make sure to bring your own controller!

Lol, don't worry peach is still my best. I'm just not playing her much and messing around with the other top and upper tier characters. Plus fox's shine is just fun to use =) Daunte teach me to shine spike! I don't know how you do it so well. I keep trying on Matt and Pedro but it never works....
