View Full Version : The Official let Ganon use his sword in SSBB thread

How mighty does Ganondorf look when he swings around his sword after victory? Yet the sword is not usable in SSBM under normal conditions. I did see a video with Ganon carrying the sword around on the DK 64 map, but the video was made using Action Replay, so that doesnt count. Anybody who thinks that either Nintendo should give Ganon a chance to weild his thick n juicy sword, or that Ganon is already too powerful and broken that giving him moves that use the sword would be just unfair, post on this thread.

I'd much rather see him use the swords he actually used in a game, the katanas from Windwaker.

There u goooo....And he should use his cape as a reflector just like in OoT lol
Or maybe the multiple dark ball thing could be his special  ...
Ganon..umm maybe a secondary super  ...or maybe be added like Giga bowser?....hmm...

no, ganon will be a really slow melee based monster, ganandorf should use his cape as his shield instead of blocking with his arms
ganondorf or ganon should be able to use the dins fire from OoT, when link sends a sphere of fire outwards, because ganondorf has the triforce of din and when u battle ganon the arena is surrounded by fire

Can't decide if Ganon should use that sword that appeared in Melee out of no where for no reason, or if he should use the Trident thats always been his weapon.

na, ganondorf should either be based on OoT or TP

He should use whatever weapon he has in TP along with whatever magic he uses in TP. . .
FiErCe_oNi
07-16-2006, 02:22 AM
and if he sitn in TP he should be based off OoT because that is what his image model is based off and that ganondorf had awsom attacks, earthquake punch, chargable dark balls, transform into a giant twin axe wielding boar monster

Anyone else fear the TP Ganon will look as stupid, or stupider than WW's? I guys while Link and Zelda will mostly always look the same from now on, Ganon will always be looking different. It's a shame the OOT model of Ganon, the best so far, is going to waste.
At the same time, I also miss Pig Ganon, but not by much.

i think all the TP characters are gonna look the same as they were in OoT including ganon/ganondorf, and if they dont look the same, they will look cooler
Shark X
07-16-2006, 02:29 AM
Wrong. Already Link looks less cooler. Looks almost the same as OOT Link, except looks a bit more freaky looking in the face. Zelda looks almost the exact same as OOT Zelda though.

If Ganondorf has a sword, Black Knight's chances will decrease.

In that case, I'm all for G-Dorf's sword. There are MUCH more deserving Fire Emblem characters than the Black Knight.
But I'd be for Ganondorf's sword even without references to the Black Knight.

Ganon does not use a sword. Ganondorf uses a sword.
Ganon is a moblin, a huge one, to be exact. His official weapon is a Trident. Once he used two Swords in reference to his Gerudo background.
Ganondorf himself has a very big Broadsword, but that was only shown in the E3 Zelda Trailer a long time back. This is not an official weapon because he never used it. That, and Melee is not Canon to the Zelda Series. He was programmed to have his Sword, but because of time constraints, they made him a clone, and turned it into a graphic instead. Of course, we don't see the graphic normally in the game. It is held in the same exactly positions as a Beam Sword, anyway.
Only in Wind Waker does Ganondorf use two Twin Swords. They are shaped like Katanas, but aren't officially them. Also, he's the only Gerudo seen in the game, and, interestingly enough, his Ganon forms are not normal. Okay, interesting, but irrelevant here anyway. Should he use his Big Sword, or his Twin Swords? Twin Swords would be good, or SOME sword moves for his Big Sword. One or the other.

all for Big sword...fat ganondorf sucked(but the swords are good)...and id rather have the big *** twin swords that Ganon* had in OoT instead of the katanas

He should use his sword (preferable the two-handed sword) , and he should be able to throw Dark Balls. Of course, when these are struck by almost anything reflective, they would shoot off in the appropriate direction.

Yeah that's a good idea. I think he should get a whole moveset overall.

I just hope they don't Luigify him. Luigi was made into a horrible character, but at least he had a reason to be a clone. What the hell kind of connection did Ganon and Falcon have to make Ganon a clone of him?
HyperFalcon
07-17-2006, 01:39 AM
The fact that both Falcon and Ganondorf are extremely strong as is, and maybe because many of their abilities fit well together?
Though Ganondorf is usually shown with a weapon, why do people doubt his physical abilities? He was raised as a Gerudo, so he's obviously very powerful with or without a weapon. He just specializes in Twin Swords.
He also has the Triforce of Power, making him extremely strong in any aspect. Technically, he could use it to make his leg muscles tighten hard enough so he can run faster than even Falcon. But of course, they got to balance him.
The only thing that didn't make sense was his B moves, if you think about it.(not that he sucks with them, and mind you, they're mostly well named)

Nope, still no connection. Mario/Dr. Mario, same person. Fox/Falco, same game. Marth/Roy, same game series. Pikachu/Pichu, same game. Link/Young Link, same character. Falcon/Ganon, fill in the blank, WHAT?

definetely give him his sword. it was a shame that we could see it but not weild it. don't give him the twin swords in ww. he needs that big *** sword.

i dont think ganondorf was ever supposed to use weapons, he has the triforce of power. that is the triforce of strength, i think someone strong in a fighting game would use fist over weapons. in the manga and a few pics u c him punching torwards link and in OoT he does that punch on the ground that makes an earthquake if u get to close.

Im all for the Broadsword Ganondorf. However I liked Ganon's B moves in Melee I think he deserves a new moveset. I hope he gets that lightning ball attack from OoT, that one was sweet. Now I think of it... In the Wind Waker Phantom Ganon used the same moves as Ganondorf from OoT except WITH a sword. Perhaps that could inspire his new moveset in Brawl?

well in OoT in gerudo fortress, when u vs those gerudo guards (with twin blades) i think ganandorf should transform into the ganon from OoT, and hav the moves of a gerudo guard, only, he would be really slow.
ganondorf should focus way more on punches than kicks and also hav an earthquake ground punch as well as a dark ball

if he is going to be back(which would be great) they need to give him his sword. He was missing something in melee and i think the sword is it.

it wasnt his sword, it was everything. ganondorf was just a clone, none of his attacks were different from captain falcons except his jab, fair and tilt ^ and their speed and power.

That would be great. It would further his uniqueness, which is sure to be given to him for Brawl.
