Kain Highwind thread

i think that Kain Highwind (finalfantasy4) would be a great addition to SSBB, because of his dragoon jump abilites. Forgeting that he was a third-party character, he has a lot of potentioal as a great character.

He can use his spear/pike weapon as his (A) attacks, and his (B) attacks would be pretty cool, like B+up could be Dragoon Jump which jumps up in the air pretty high, and regardless of floor obstacles, will come back down where u aim him and deal damage and create a mini 'quake' sorta like splash damage to people near him.

i can't put a full move list rite now but i will soon, just discuss him, but don't just bag him out because he is third party...

now... Discuss!

Still, Melee had several Sword users, two of which were from the Fire Emblem series. The same could happen in Brawl with spear guys.

There won't be a lot of lance fighters in Brawl, unless they put in a bunch of FE characters. Most FE lords don't even use lances, most are seen with a sword.

Several sword users? 4 out 26 doesn't seem like a lot to me, especially when 2 of them might be kicked out/replaced.

Yes, 4 DOES happen to fall under the category of Several. and with Metaknight and (Arguably) Pit joining the fray, that number can only be built upon. It is possible that Kain could be a dark horse spear guy and still get in Sigurd. Depends on how important Siggy is to his FE storyline.

Ok, honestly I don't think this argument is going anywhere. I said I'd rather have Cecil in over Kain because he was the main character from that game. I'm not saying it's impossible for Kain to be in Brawl, I never said that, I just gave my opinion on his inclusion.

You said something about too many lance characters, and I said not too many would be in because only FE characters would use lances. Also because Kain Highwind would use a lance.

I always thought Kain was more known than Cecil. Kain is in the FF4 logo, BTW.

Also, "Kain's Lance" is (one of) the most powerful spear(s) in MANY FF games.

Personally, I want both him AND Cecil in Brawl (Cecil as a Paladin, of course, but then that might make conflicts with Marche's potential moveset. . .).

Lovely idea! I think that having one of the older Final Fantasy characters in Brawl would be grand. I don't even hear much about them so much and it would be cool it they get some attention for once.

Kain would be awesome cause of his high jump abilities and his techqinue with the spear. Definantly an interesting character!

I would enjoy him in brawl. I really liked FF4. I'm going with either him or Butz. He was from my all time favourite. I must have redon that game so many times and Butz was always my strongest. For Kain i think he would be unique. and for those of you who have no idea who he is. rock_in_reo add these pics to the first post.

I also like Butz (or Bartz or whatever the Hell they call him now...) Klauser alot - plus with FF5's Class System, just think of the wide array of elemnts to implement into a moveset... One can dream...

Sephiroth was never prominent on a Nintendo system, so technically, EVERY NES and SNES FF character trumps Sephy by default.

Back on topic, I can think of no cooler spear-wielder than good ol' Kain Highwind. Though his chances aren't that good, we can always dream can we not?
