They didn't have a lot to choose from, and only Helios and Doug could actually compete with USA's top players evenly. >_>;

To the TA guys, it was purely because he said "you'll be dq'ed if you do this" to one of your members, and then you did it. If he had then NOT dq'ed you, it would've set a precedent for not punishing people that directly disobey rules.

Honestly, it was Prime's judgment call at the time, but it might be a rule we change (or clarify at least) for next time. Dropping people from your crew for specific matches can be strategic, which is what we want to avoid. Maybe it should just be allowed, as long as the 4-6 people requirement is met.

Either way, I'm glad you guys are taking it well. Thanks for being good sports. TA proved to be a solid crew both together and individually in the pools/brackets. I was impressed!

I totally understand the dropping people rule, if you say, want to drop a weaker player to add stocks to your stronger players. However, that wasn't our situation. Oh well. Tough noogies. We'll make sure it doesn't happen next time. I had alot of fun at this tourney btw. I wouldn't mind if Brawl doesn't come out for another 2 years. ^_^. Expect TA to get remarkably better.

This was a great tournament; I had lots of fun. Dodgeball was too good.

TJ- Thanx for letting me crash at your place the night before the tournament and running dodgeball. It's a shame we couldn't do regional crews, lucky for the east coast and southwest.

Drew- Thanx for teaming with me; I thought we did well. We were SO close to advancing. Thanx for the tips and giving my Yoshi confidence. I seriously won like 4 or 5 matches with him against Marth in tournament play; Sheik is garbage.

Trail- Thanx for the climber tips; my iceys did pretty good in tournament. Oh yeah, and yoshi is too good against the little buddies.

Chu- I was up 2 stocks to 1 against your climbers; I thought I had you. Those grab combos are nuts, I didn't think Yoshi was as affected by them as much as other characters.

Andy (AOB)- Thanx for riding with me.

Tacoom- Nice Yoshi dittos as always.

Lee- Thanx for taking my money and giving me some tips.

Im not correcting you, just pointing something out. I know that for my team, if there was No peach that we were up against and we were fighting mainly fast fallers, my sucky *** would sit out so that Azen and Neo could have more stock. And our team would be Neo, Chillin, Azen and Wife so they can mess up the fast fallers.
But if there was a Peach, Jiggs or samus on the team, Wife would sit out and I would go in since I am much better vs the Floaties then he is. This is one reason why you would want to sit someone out for a round. I would also want to sit out if we did fight you guys since all of you rape marth. Other then fighting kirbstir, who would i be good against? If you guys were smart, you would just have him go someone else and then i would be useless to all your Marth slaying players. Just another example of a player sitting out.

Also, Vidjo would sit out if there was a team where Husband even used Mario and had only 2 stock. They wouldnt want their best player losing all 4 stock under a min. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

We had specifically considered the idea of "alternates" before the crew tournament and decided that part of the strategy was in determining your membership ahead of time. With alternates being feasible, what would the point of a 4 man crew be? Might as well add a 5th and 6th player just in case. I'm not a huge fan of that, but it might be what becomes more prominent.

As we go, I'd love to see people debate the merits of 4 vs 5 vs 6 people in a crew. Is it better to have better players with more stock, recharging the opponent's life less often? Or is it better to go with 6 people, accepting that you'll probably recharge their stock 5 times but you'll get the hard counter matchups? So much fun. ^_^

Im more into the 4 man crew with one alternate. I like this idea because 20 (The number of stock a crew usally has) divides evenly into 4 and 5. I dont like when a player only has 3 stock and others have 4. There is a reason why we dont have 3 stock matches anymore and i feel that it doesnt give a player enough time to get into the match.

I also feel that having two alternates is just too much of countering your opponents. even though countering someone is a skillfull part in smash, i feel that there should be more to it then putting in your best players depending on who you are fighting. But having one alternate will slightly change up the match and make it more interesting in my opinion.

There also might be too much sitting out time if they have 6 ppl on the team and someone might not get to go in as much. This will prevent a player from getting more experience in a crew battle. Keep in mind the the other team counters what ever player is in as hard as they can, giving that player a real challenging match up to learn from.

One other small fact is that it allows there to be more crews. For every 5 crews, you make a new one up with the left over players. Just putting out some thoughts.

FC was sweeeeet! I'm pretty happy I made top 25. Or was it top 17?

Couple of pools were really harsh. And keep in mind both Doraki and Helios had tougher 2nd and 3rd pools than me.

Here were mine: Pool #2 - Trail, Mikey L, B-Ryan, Iggy. Lost to both Trail and Mikey in the first two sets; needed to win every other match to qualify.

Pool #3 - PC Chris, Rob$, Chillindude829, Crashman, Testrider. Ouch. Pretty close sets with Chillin, PC, and Testrider. Got 4th because I managed to get two games against PC and Chillin.

Brackets: First round Darkrain. Oh my god, lost badly 0-3. I'm glad this wasn't recorded, 2 and 3 stocked. Even beat on my best stages convincingly. Then had to face Xelic and won 3-0. Then lost to Cunning 2-3 in a really good and close set.

Helios did great. All his matches except against Chu were on the big screens and being watched by lots of peeps. I tried my best to coach him. Something I noticed in the states is there's a lot more of this going on than in Europe. Will let Chris fill everyone else in on how he did.

And we still feel bad about what happened to TA :-/ We didn't really deserve that spot in the crews, but it was just one unfortunate event after another for them, and then they still won in the end, but were DQ'd because M2K wanted to sleep. But even after the battle was over, M2K was up on the stage watching friendlies. Regardless, you guys are great, and will definitely make it into the top spots next year or whenever the next Crew thing is.

In 1v1s you probably had the hardest part of the bracket but still got 4th and that split so great job there. Overall you're way too cool and way too cool at smash, I'll never get tired or watching those IC's. And Chu Dat pose ftw, thanks for teaching us how to do it right, even though I think most of us (or at least me) screwed it up in the pic anyways >_>

KishPrime: Great job running most of this by yourself, things ran mostly smoothly, especially when you consider just how much went on. Great job making it into the bracket, and winning that 2nd round pool of ours, even if you lost to somebody's Fox... Oh and thanks for not dq'ing us even though you threatened to more times than I'd care to remember ;)

The Doug: Thanks so much for bailing us out and giving us a ride to O'Hare on Sunday. Cool hanging out with you at Big C's as well. Oh and one very important thing: I forgot to pay you for the ride on Sunday and I still feel real bad about it.
