The crew battle was very close, coming down to the last stock in the last match at 144%.

I demand some more attention! Where are all my Phoenix players? Spread the word, everyone - Arizona has so much Smash talent and a massive amount of potential. We need to prove it.

How often do our good players head out of state for decent competition? Frequently - it's time to show the world that Arizona is where people want to be! We are worth the trip and it's time to show it. Keep the word alive and make this tournament huge.

Nogfu - one thing you should do is advertise to scrubs. The tournaments I used to do always had a large number of scrubs and it made everyone very happy. More competition, more money for the pot, and a more diversified event all equal a tremendous tournament. One time, we had over 40 people at a tourny, and only 4 or 5 were top tier AZ players...it was awesome.

I suggest you post fliers ALL OVER places where smashers might go. Video game stores, comic book store, anime shops, college campuses or ANYwhere else you think they might be.

I would help you, but I don't think many scrubs would travel to tucson for a smash tourny. So, it is up to YOU to spread the word. I gurenetee only the decent-good players from the phoenix area will go...and that isn't that many. If you want a truly sweet tourny, ADVERTISE TO CASUALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Though I would love to play the smashers down in that area, unless my parents drive, I have no way of getting there. They are not too fond of my riding with strangers either. I could casually ask them about it cause we can fit a few, but I don't know if they would want to spend a day down there. The plus would be that we have a TV in the car so we could get warmed up on the way.

I live way out in Peoria. Goat lives sort of near me but according to your Google Map, it guessed about 2.5 hours from my place to yours. Now depending on traffic, not sure how much in the morning, it has taken me 1.5 hours just to go to a Mesa Weekly. So considering all that, it may be a longshot.
