This is Soren:

Soren is a Mage in Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance. The above picture is him in his Mage form (Can turn into a Sage at a higher level). When Soren turns into a change, his robe becomes more purple. I think he should be a Sage for SSBB. Here's a move list (Soren gets a knife when he becomes a Sage, knife's blade is always held downwards, just for style):

A (and other jab combos): Slashes with knife- first two hits have small range bad knockback, 3rd hit has further range and better knockback, average damage

Ftilt: Reaches out to stab with knife- Great Range, ok knockback, averange damage

Utilt: Slashes upward in an arcing motion- Bad range, less than average knockback, better than average damage

Dtilt: Slashes diagonally downward with his knife- sends themstraight in an upwards direction, ok damage, average range

Upsmash: Raises free hand in air and lighting shields above him- Lightning only covers about 3 headwdths above his head, lightning in front has better knock back and damage, both sides send enemy diagonally upwards (behind Soren if they hit the back part of lightning and vice-versa)

Fsmash: reaches hand out and a small line of fire comes out- Great range, only a thin line so can't hit above foes, good damage, bad knockback, they only get sent a little bit forward

Dsmash: A wind gust appears around Soren's feet- Good range, both sides have equal knockback range and damage, sends opponent diagonally upwards depending on which side of Soren they are, they get sent up-right diagonally if hit from the back side of Soren and vice-versa

B: Focuses (charges up) his attack, when fully charged, Soren can either move, or release it- When released a great blast of wind unleashes on the foe, the attack's height comes from his head to toe, goes straight forward, great range, good damage, great knockback, sends them diagonally upwards (in the direction Soren is facing)
If the 1 is Soren, and the !s represent the blast, it would look like this: 1!!!!!!!

B^: Wind comes out from his feet and he is boosted upwards- before being boosted he pauses for a moment, good range, good knockback, direction is where you aim the control stick, a little less than average damage, Soren glows while being propelled so on contact the damage is done, the wind doesn't affect opponents.

<B>: Shoots a thin electric bolt from his hand that trails the ground on contact- Thin and almost hard to spot, when shot from air it goes downwards in an arc until it reaches ground, then it trail the ground, stuns the foe for a moment, good damage, horrible knockback (barely sends them anywhere, only slightly backwards), lasts a nice length

Bdown: Aims hand downward and Soren's lower body becomes covered by fire- Fire reaches out a little bit from his lower body giving it less than average range, awesome priority, in midair it stops Soren movement for a moment, good damage, good knock back, sends opponent sideways while on ground, sends opponent diagonally downwards in air (if hit from back, they go diagonally downwards to the back and vice-versa), lol this is the Soren Spike :P

Nair: Lightning circles Soren's body- slightly more than average damage, sends opponent upwards, horrible range (the lightning will only hit if they touch Soren, it is trailing his body), good knockback (or knock-up in this case)

Fair: Slashes from down to up with his knife- Great range, good damage, good knockback, sends opponent forward, they slowly head downward though (obviously)

Uair: Soren reaches upward and a medium-sized ball of lightning encircles his hand- ok damage, good range, bad knockback, sends them barely in a forward direction.

Bair: Soren does a backflip while reaching his knife out- ok damage, great knockback, sends them behind Soren (ya know, the opposite direction of infront), a little less than average range, they must be pretty close to Soren for the knife to hit

Dair: A ring of fire encircles Soren's feet- Good damage, ok range (the range is wider than Soren), bad knockback (sends them very slightly upwards, then they go back down)

Grab Attack: Stabs foe with knife- ok damage

Fthrow: Slashes opponent and they get sent forward- less than average knockback, ok damage

Uthrow: Foe gets electrified then sent upwards- The electricity sends them upward with good knockback and ok damage

Dthrow: Opponent gets burned then thrown downwards- After the burn, Soren throws the foe downwards, but the knock back initially sends them slightly upwards (enough upwards for Soren to chainthrow or attack again), ok damage

Bthrow: Soren blows the foe with wind and then follows with a small bolt of lightning- Good damage, good knockback, sends the foe straight backwards

He appears on Sakurai's poll, and I love your moveset. We need more mages in this game, especially Fire Emblem mages :D

Lucius wins!

As far as Soren goes, what would be his super? (I haven't played PoR yet.)

I Finally finished my PoR file today after gross amounts of failure [I was on hard mode with Ike at level 14, no Aether, either], and when it showed the character kill Records, my top five were

Zihark, Nephenee, Astrid, Ike, and Soren...in ascending order.

So yeah, Soren is an awesome cahracter, and if Sakurai wants a mage from Fire Emblem he'd probably be the one, but...still, logically his chances are slim since he's a supporting character from only one game and wasn't all that vital to the plot. Anyways, I like the idea.

But there does arise a probelm with his knife, in that it might be considered too realistic. They'd have to take extra precautions to make it seem as fantasy oriented as possible.

And he's not a Bishonen; Reyson's a Bishonen...weirdos.

See above post.

And it's not a knife, per se; it's more of a (really) short sword. Hooray for loopholes!

Please just post this in the Fire Emblem Character thread.

No because in the FE thread there's so much Soren hate... Yeah I love your moveset. Yet im not really fond of your B moves. Lemme do a suggestion (Im not saying these are better Im just shwoing what I'd rather have):

B: Wind. Soren casts a Wind spell infront of him (around 2 Bowser distance). Its a 2-hit attack. When you get hit it'll do 7% damage each hit. The first hit doesnt has much knockback, and the second works around the same as Zelda's >B. Soren can also charge this move while your holding B. When full charged the attack does 14% x 2.
vB: Tornado. Soren creates a tornado around himself. You can slighty controll the tornado but it wont move more then 1 Bowser away from Soren. When you get struck it'll be like in Smash64 at the Zelda stage. Soren can't attack while the tornado is around, but when someone is struck in it he can.
>B: I like yours so it may stay. :D
^B: I have no idea, so yours may stay. n.n

Rolf is the best in POR, after he hits Sniper, he is deadly. Better then Shinon by far. Nearly every second shot is a total kill shot.

I loved Zihark he can actually get quite good. And he has suprised me at the best times. When it looks like all hope is lost on him, he pulls out a double strike and finishes the enemy before he can strike again on his go.

I always found Soren to be quite weak, it's quite a nerve keeping him around.

IKE gets so good once he becomes Commander. He's got quite a strike.

I would like to see a Mage.
Soren is cool but he's kind of hard to keep an eye on during the early stages. I like his triple play, but after I started upgrading and got through more stages his triple hit stopped taking effect, and i'd be lucky to get 2 hits on the first hit.

I think it is a great idea. I hope they would just add him and not replace one of the current Fire Emblem characters for him.

Yup, cool idea. Why shouldn't there be more mages? Soren's unique enough.

But, on the other hand, I am against too many FE characters, since they are in pretty much Nintendo's largest game, cast-wise. With so many choices usualy only the main chars get chosen.

Yay I like the fire emblem series to but if they add too many new FE characters it wont be as good. Too many characters from one game would hurt it I think.

I'm not surprised. All of the long-haired FE mages look like girls (unless they have facial hair or are an enemy).

Well when Soren becomes a Sage he either gets a knife, or staves to heal. Healing is SSBB would be kinda cheap so I just gave him the knife in my move list :P
