Hi, I'm new here
Now that I've gotten that out of the way, I need help.

I'm a decent puff player but I just can't seem to hit rest on people in the air. I can get them infrequently with it off of a u-tilt or dair but I i send them up with a usmash or >b or nair or pretty much any other move then I just can't seem to hit them with a rest even if it seems like I timed perfectly it misses.

Can anyone offer me advice on how to hit a freefalling and/or airborne character with rest?

also since I completley suck at WDing is it possible to play a good puff with WDing?

thank you for your help

you should learn to wd well as it helps even though its not the greatest. if they are in the air use upairs to rests at low percents, otherwise continue juggling with uairs bairs and fairs.

uptilt rest works at low percents and if they are standing off the ground, if you catch them in the air then they should be able to jump / dodge out of it.

I'm just going to emphasize what doyoung2win said about wavedashing. It may not be as important as with Jigglypuff as it is with some other characters (read: Luigi, ICs, etc.), but its essential for good mindgames. With Jiggs, I find myself approaching from the air a LOT, either forwards for fairs/pounds or backwards for bairs, so the occasional run approach -> wavedash backwards helps to keep me less readable or predictable.

You can always throw in a wavedash backwards -> forward smash to mix things up. ^^

Edit - Actually, now that I think about it, I wavedash more often than I think. Sometimes it's really important to wavedash for spacing reasons, especially when you are fighting against the fastfallers. So yeah, wavedashing is pretty much a necessity.

You cannot beat a good shiek without wavedashing.. and to hit your rests just practice.. Practice makes pros... just look at M2K ;)

as they get closer, the magnetic field between them should increase vastly in magnitude and allow a transfer of electrons between them assuming that they provide the voltage in the circuitry.

It should be hurting them.

its a plusle and a minun. if they were pichus they would be too busy shocking themselves to dance.
