Who knows what would happen if you had everyone. You can try to believe it would be an easy win, and one thing is true; it would make it much more tricky for us in terms of counter-picking and who performs well.
But you can't know for sure the outcome.

What I was talking about was a response to Shaz's placing. Look at Mat laughing (or LemonmanX confused) at Shaz for instance. He verses Bringer right off the bat, fair enough he's not trying to win the tournament and wants to play a character he enjoyed at the time. So he's playing Falco, not a character anywhere near his potential with other characters. So he's out early and also meets Sloth almost immediately in the losers bracket. If anyone really knows Shaz, he doesn't need to reprove his skill once its already been proven, so he's happy to allow Sloth/Bringer to advance, because Shaz already knows where he stands and does not need this tournament to prove it. Also, if anyone knows Shaz, he's not a competitve Smasher. He hates seeing those who put in the hard yards get cheaped out or their run ending short - not to discredit Sloth/Bringer either, they are outstanding Smashers, but if people can understand why and how Shaz plays this game, you can appreciate how things turned out the way they did.

King Kong - I shouldn't get bothered at that but after spending so much money and so much time to see my performance and the crew battle just brushed aside like that gets me a little sad

Perhaps what i mean is that the out of stater's have worked hard, spent a lot of time and we deserve to be happy about our win, thats all. We all know you guys are better than us.

OK, firstly I hadn't even started the shoutouts about how impressed I was with the Queensland Smash Scene. Calm yo face down KK, noones even started the shouts yet, so I may as well start right now since I'ld be doing it sooner or later. Truth be told I'm disappointed with Victoria because there's a good reason why we lost, and that's because we have a scene that is largely fragmented and slowly moving on. Especially seeing this is our home turf, the effort some of our local smashers have into helping Smash is dismal to say the least. So by saying that, I can proudly say QLD has a better smash community than we do, no johns. Australia also won the crew battle no johns. It's taken the past year for you guys to run regular tournaments and keep things held together and I know how much you guys have fought about stupid **** and to see the perseverance finally paying off is nice for you KK. You've come down here 3 times now, and you've improved drastically. I think it's safe to say just about everyone underestimated QLD coming into this tournament, and I was probably the least underestimating of you guys. You guys said you'd bring it, and you did, so I was expecting it from the beginning. That's why I'm not all that surprised like most people, but rather relieved that the Queensland scene is breathing life into Australia, now that places like Victoria are stagnating. I consider you to be the founding father of QLD smash, and I remember the says of SEAT2 when you said it'd be your last tournament since there was nothing to look forward to. Just look at the scene you've created for yourself now, how can you not be proud of it? I'm jealous of it. By the way I'll be putting alot of effort into making a good crew battle video, so sit tight and be patient :) it's gonna look goood and great Job on 5th, defeating Jaz and Gloth. <3

Tristan - I remember our discussions on MSN, and how everyone says you guys are cocky? But seriously it's pretty easy to be seeing you guys are that good, just out of nowhere too. Let's look at the players you took out - SA Dave, Sloth, Freddo, Niven, the list goes on. That's not a ****ing fluke, that's just being too good, and you deserve major props. The match with you was fun, although your brother cleaned up when we reached our player drought LOL. I hope you come to future tournaments down here and I'll see you sometime in a QLD tourney perhaps? =)

Syke - Not as much to say besides Omiig is too good. haha LOL and you're good at bowling =) 150, yayyuhzz. I don't think you have a vid of you 4 stocking me, probably because it wasn't a serious match and I like screwing around. I guess I'm nice like that. Noone will pick up anything on how to defeat me if you had the video LOL

Scrubs - You seems like a pretty nice and chill guy and your peach is good too. Good job with KK taking Tristan and Radiance to losers, that's not easy ^^

NG7 - Suprised you came back down here LOL Good to see you, you need to play more Smooth Moves so I can record you

Niven - You're cool. I like you. LOL All Fox players are like this for some reason. Like Freddo. Awwww <3 And Ryan when he wants to beat me. Victorian Team - Really proud of the ways you guys went. Everyone that was on the team generally wanted to be there and represented. And although quite of few of you froze up during play, I guess it was because you weren't used to the pressure of the crew battle. I guess now you guys know, and find ways to overcome it in the future. Good job guys.

GTR - Shame you had to pick the movie LOL I think Scrubs was sleeping. Thakns for coming, and I think you did good for your debut.

Bringer - Congratulations at winning the tournament! Shaz and I were relieved you won, because you obviously deserve it more than anyone else. Such dedication to the game, travelling to Europe, putting up with a stinky DOTA oriented Smash Scene (you know I love you Perth XD), and I would have looked like a Sanchez if I cleaned u in my own tournament like a certain Ken. Luckily enough I almost won but didn't!

Dohei - You got really good in the spece of what was it? 3 weeks? I don't think I[ve seen anyone grow as fast as you did in such a short amount of time. Give it a 4 months until the next tournament and I'm confident you can become the next key player for Victoria. You'v got the drive and deidcation many people lack I beleive, and thanks to you, your mum for opening house for the tournament, as well as the many many smashfests!

Funky - Thanks for coming! I missed seeing the tennis with you, but I had a paint job to attend to. </3

DJ Cat - You travelled alot, but its always fun having you around. Bob is a cool name and Yoshi is cute.

Finally... the Australian team - It was solid player after solid player... after everyone realised we didn't have enough solid layers to compete we still went ahead with it anyway, despite suggestions to turn the crew battle into a random player select kind of thing. I'm a man of my word. I was ready for the challenge and eager to see how my team would stack up to Bringers. And I happy with the result for both sides. Congratulations on humbling us for the win and hopefully we can set up more epic matches of that sort in the future. It's the stuff of legends. And by golly Shaz and I love trashtalking LOL. It's part of my semi-American nature and Shaz's innate lust for Boys and honking.

and to the rest of you, thanks for coming! I sincerely hope it was worth every cent for all of you OOSERS. If not, then I have effectively failed as a tourney director. Ah what a trip, shoutouts... in order of state and memory

Firstly to linkapprentice and funkyseefunkydo... a.k.a Stui and Simo
I hope this experience was an eye opener for you guys, and now you understand what I was trying to tell you about months before this tournament happened. If you guys keep up your enthusiasm in smash who knows how much better you will get ^_^ Great work on getting there dudes, well done.

Cao: under the circumstances, and the fact you were working to much to actually organise all aspects of it, you did very well to organise that tournament, I had a suspicion that low tiers was wishful thinking, but in the end it didn't fit because people out prioritized it with random friendlies, which in the end I suppose were just as important to the people that were new to the tourny scene, a chance to meet everyone and not suffer from being destroyed by better players... good luck with that smash scene Cao, it looks to be turning upside down.
On a smash note your peach is beyond my skills, and bad luck in the singles

Freddo: you also put an effort in to organising this my friend, TV counts and power board requests, meets before the actual tourny and so on, you had the best fox in that tournament, and I was lucky enough not to face it in the tourny I vsed you at n2c and the matches were either close, retarded or freddo pwnge so thanks for that buddy.

Dohei: the best venue for a smash tournament ever, honestly. What a great commitment you've made early on to a smash scene that could not match your enthusiasm. In 4 months you may well be able to beat my falcon, who knows. But you deserve a pat on the back for putting your hand up in the crew battle, hell when I first went to seat I didn't talk to anyone and here you are raring to go straight off the bat, full credit for you buddy. Ignore what people say and don't try to prove yourself to anyone’s standards but your own; which by the sounds of it are already pretty high, I hope you do beat my falcon next time ;)
A big thanks to your cool family who actually participated in the tournament, I apologise as a tournament participant for the bad language and BO that riddled it, although some people contributed to it more than I. I can't wait for the vids, and hope there’s enough time in the world to upload them. Thank you for the hospitality ^_^

Forblaze: Without your understanding that trip would have been a nightmare, I was constantly out and about and didn't spend nearly as much time as I would have liked in that awesome home. A billion thank-you's to your mother for that superb roast chicken and your sister for the lift and putting up with my withered humour.
Guitar hero was a highlight of the stay and if I didn't love it so much I probably would have left it there. I'm sure Zac will say something nice; it’s not my place to talk for such a crazy mind. Out of all the Victorians in the tourny, you've improved the most, that Falco is now a threat to my game, you've learned to deal with nerves well which showed in the crew battle. Mikul: I'm not sure if your from this world... regardless you have a very effective Gannon and falcon, and for the times I understood your actions or words, I did enjoy your company, out of the numerous falcon dittos I did you were probably the most formidable, You have an Insane mind set to be able to travel from Geelong to peoples houses for smash, you deserve all the credit that goes with such a commitment. Bringer: I’m framing my controller :P we didn't play or talk much but it’s still cool, we won crews against odds and as captain you should be proud and congrats on singles... I never knew you were a saint btw... when did that happen? Bringer of Death: The patron saint of meh. You are a smash genius and the best smash strategist Australia has to offer, you outplay and outsmart your rivals and its no wonder you won singles, sure the matches weren’t counted properly, maths is for N00bs... But everyone was under the impression you won and that is good enough for me so congrats buddy, I’ll be on the next dirt cheap plane to Perth.

Niven: First smash tourny and you placed in the top 15, awesome effort. Your fox has improved greatly, and you dealt well with nerves, which kills the best of smashers. I'm sorry my falcon wasn't at the level it is now when I went to Perth... the matches there would have been a little more engaging. Ryan makes a huge effort to get to these tournaments to prove his skill and you have done the same, you'll always be the HRC king of Oz in my mind buddy well done on a good job. Try bringing Mic, Quetz and Cubed with you next time XD

SA Dave: we are cut from the same cloth you and I meh boy :P you top your state, I top mine we travel to another state to challenge ourselves XD the matches we had were fun but I enjoyed your company just as much. Syke: team name Omiig was formed 12 minutes before teams began and we decided to be team partners 2 days before the tourny we squeezed in about three matches of practice in teams a day before the tourney and realised that we would probably suck and kill each other before our opponents could.

We actually beat team *******ry, the cheapest team since Radiance and Tristan... and we nearly won that too... I finally got a chance to prove Kirby’s worth and you helped me do that, for that I owe you.

Gloth: I crashed at yours and didn't even get to say thanks lol, you're Melbourne’s go to guy, party central pretty much. thanks for Mario golf and being Gloth about crews and the tourney, not enough people thankyou for letting them use your place... a million thankyou's for you cherish them all glothy!

Aaah Slothy... I versed you a few times, and even with an improved falcon I couldn't touch you. alas my friend you finished of Shaz in singles and crews and without you our crew would probably have failed, thanks for the good gay times, if you do go to Qld tell me and I’ll join you for the ride, it is the best state for smash experiences ^_^

As for crews, which I’m shamed to read that even without a Jon Shaz has managed to Jon the crew’s way to justify their loss' is it really so hard to give credit to people when its due. Victoria has the best state for smashers; it has Shaz, who didn't use fox in the crew battle, Emily who didn't show up, Anfology who didn't show for a tourny named after him and Caotic who did his best to salvage a poor attempt at a challenge.

Our crew consisted of Bringer of death, Sloth, King Kong, Tristan, Radiance, Scrubs, Syke, Sa Dave, Niven and I, with alternates in mind. Bar Quetzalcoatl a just representation of Australian smash, we all knew bar DJ cats that we should have lost that crew battle and that it was in your favour.

Yet Shaz you as a captain did not go fox, and come out to verse me, you would have three stocked me easily like you said its only falcon, yet you sent out Dohei and Sam, yes players like Jaz would have gotten three stocked if Emily had of bothered to care. And you would have been better off if Jon had of showed up or Anf had mentioned his grandfather’s birthday to us a few months before the tourny or mentioned the tournament to his family a few months before the birthday.

Players have FLOWN from different states to come to this tournament, payed a lot of money to actually make it there, yet people who were a train ride away couldn't make it and you make excuses.

So, a player like Jaz who only played falcon took 8 stock of your crew and you have yourself to blame, no one else. You can't force people to play if they don't want to, Australia wanted to win more than Melbourne and we did, we took advantage of your state when it was sleeping and won with 6 lives to spare, which could have been 3.

I mean you had plenty of Melbourne players there, but they didn't stay around for the crew battle in the end...Syrick was one of those. I’m sorry you had to put Joe in instead, and for once I had to deal with Zax’s taunts instead of you for a change.

Hopefully next time we do this you'll have a better tactic than singing "Jaz-man" or hoping people that are over the game or the smash scene will come to happily represent something they no longer care for.

Prove me wrong Guys, I’m sure when Ken comes Emily will have resolved her issues, Shaz will use fox and I can finally go back to being three stocked by tier whores where I belong ^_^
Maybe Cao is right and I just don’t understand how Shaz plays the game or rather what he thinks of it
But until than I’ll enjoy my 3rd place in teams, my 8 stocking and my top 15 placing beating Noobs or not until the day that the world starts spinning again.

Apart from that dirty business Cao summed up the tournament when he said: “everyone who wanted to be here came, and I’m happy”. It was a good crew battle I enjoyed it a lot, the singles finals actually saw me looking away from the screen and the heart was fluttering when I had a crowd demanding Kirby’s victory in the team battle.

I never got to see you going all out, which was a little disappointing. Although... what amazed me most is when you shined samus above the sky with falco, that was pretty amazing. It was nice chattin to ya in melb, u got a little unlucky in the singles draw, but you know, if you had played fox, no1 knows what could of happened. Either way, theirs always next time, and i'll be waiting to play you at the next tourney.

Emily

Both your peach and yoshi have improved greatly, I saw a bunch of your matches including the one verse tristan where you almost took him to 1 stock, a very big improvement on your side, and its great to see someone as inthusiasitc as you've been lately.

Hey, not much to say, only that we had some good practise, and it really helped my performance on the day, didn't see ya as much on the tournament day, but none the less, great effort representing SA.

Well, out of all the players in melbourne, I think you kinda woke me up to the fact that I could actually lose against a fox :) . Alot of thanks to you, with transport to and from the trainstation and to the shops the other day, your a great player and im sure everyone will agree that your a great guy as well, nothing but positives from you, glad we met.

King Kong
It wasn't a joke when i heard you'd improved your performance out of state, I felt that you really did improve on the day, by a rather substantial amount, i guess thats what you've been saving for some time, great singles placings and crew battle performance, and of course, you guys took us to the loser's bracket in doubles. Nothing but positives from this event.

Syke (QLD)
Well.. I think alot of melbourne players now know the name 'Syke', is it a wonder why? great doubles placing, great singles placing, and you ALMOST eliminate bringer.. You would of upset the entire tournament, and thats something I doubt I could say, really great performance.

Forblaze
Well, if you fix those few probs you had, I won't get any cheap kills from your SDS. In which case... you could basically beat anyone with the comboes you were getting off, 0-97%? yeah.. good to play ya, it really helped me against a few falco players on the day, hope to see ya again laters.

NG7 (QLD)
Ah, you were the support for QLD, it really did feel good getting support from a fellow player, your presence seems to lift everyone's game, and this is your best tournament result yet. Its never a bad thing when your around, and im glad you were there, this experience was the best thing that could happen to your game.

Well, you did prove yourself to be the most deadly player from Queensland, and you deserve it. I think people underestimate you because of your age. I also think this way of thinking makes you more determined to win. Nothing more to say, i can chat to you whenever i like ;) .

All in all, it was pretty good to go up to Melbourne again. I do wish some of the Melbourne people were a little bit more into smash, and hopefully Cao will change that.
There was no excuse for Melb ppl not coming, seeing as we have to travel / get time off work / Spend most of our money. When they are just a train away.

But all those who care showed up, and that is the most important thing at the end of the day :)
