How does January 27 and/or 28 sound to everyone? It'll be around the Australian Open Finals, and the Muse/Tool concerts hit right after that. Melbourne is too cool - event capital.

I'm thinking the following fees for the events are as follows:
- $20 Singles
- $10 Doubles (per person)
- Free Crews (as long as you enter Singles and Doubles)

POT DISTRIBUTION (SINGLES + DOUBLES)
1st - 60%
2nd - 30%
3rd - 10%

Just imagine if, say, only 40 people came and having a free venue. The payout for first would be $480!!!!! SO WE NEED A FREE/CHEAP VENUE

Rest assured, all money collected will go back into the tournament, wether it be the pot, or a venue hire.

To make up for the fee, I think I can whip up a tourney structure that would allow people to play as many people as possible (much like a big pool with small rounds). I'll throw up complete a ruleset later.

It's also fun to start thinking about Interstate crews. 4 people as a minumum, 5 as a max.

Questions? Also, does anybody know of a cheap/free venue in Mebourne that would be suited for a Smash Tournament? The cheaper we get a place for, the more money can be spent back into the tournament (I hire expensive).

This is Shaz: crews - I think Victoria should probably have two teams. It would be a good idea to break up KO and myself since we're broken. I can think of some players I could imagine would be on the crews: Anf, Freddo, Mark, Mikul, Gloth, KO, myself. If thats say 5 people per crew then there;s a decent amount for Victoria to have two nice teams.

Cao, i'll be more than happy to bring down my laptop and help you out. My laptop ran the first SEAT and its only fitting it should make another appearance. I ran SQUAT 1 and 2 pretty well so im sure i can help a little.

Myself, ben and toai will most likely come. Syke and Gosu will hopefully come bacause we need them if we wanna do well. It would be nice if King_mos would come but he thinks competitive smash rules are homo so he proly wont. If Andrew can convince his parents (unlikey) then he'll be coming.

If Vyse and ACCELERATE and the other gold coasters could come iot would be great... but somehow i doubt they will.

Yeah Freddo, that's why I made the tourney dates fall right before the concerts, so they can stay for just a bit longer for the Smasheroonie too. I don't mind who I team up with as long as its one of you guys <3<3<3<3 I guess Shaz and I want you to captain the Victoria team that has you, Anf, Mikul, Gloth and Mark in it. Shaz and I might have an old-skool Victorian team along similar strengths.

Well....... it was close but i won more dittos than i lost. It was mostly to do with me having better combos.

Bear in mind that DK is my main while bringer only uses him for fun. And bringer is still much better than me im just better at that matchup.
