Yeah I dont mind if we have a bit of a something at my place, thats if you guys really wanna travel down here once again. We would have to keep the noise down though, as there are 14 odd units in the same building as mine.

And we definetly have to do it in hobart. With more advertising, and we have to try to get more people from the main land to come. It will be coolies, Phantasmo and ZTV You have to come again, And I will be a lot better this time around.

Edit: Also might I suggest that we combine the two Tassie threads, so we dont have to be looking and posting in both. Just makes it a lot easier I think.

If you are going straight to the airport that is cool, otherwise I'll try and make it into Launceston Tuesday night/Wednesday morning and we can have some more fun times.

And now, seeing as I'm finally back at my own desk, in my own room, with Snap Parry on watch, I can do my shout-out.

First, I'd like to thank the Tasmanian smash scene for organising BoO, N30N/Ath and Len for the housing, and D.J Cat/Bob for being able to host BoO. Awesome job on that, it's just a shame that we didn't get to record the matches in high quality or at all. Now, for smash related shout-outs.

I saw a lot of mixed talent at BoO, and I can only hope that it gets even better by the time BoO2: The Second Scare (An awesome title if you keep it) comes around. Those of you I played, it was fun, and a new experience compared to Melbournian character choices (Upper/Top tier, anyone? =P). For the more memoriable people:

Sloth/N30N/Alan: Awesome way to greet me at the airport, and thanks for Snap Parry!

Sloth: You've got quite a lot of skill there -- Keep it up and you could rival the best of Australia, or even take the title. And, while you're at it, get in some Boozer practice. >XD

N30N: Many great nights were spent smashing, drinking, smashing while drunk, and listening to the combined sexual innuendo of various people. Keep up with the Marth chaingrab practice, and you may even be able to four-stock my Falco/Peach. =)

Alan: Crayfish! Heh, great times man, great times. I'm surprised you were even able to fit into those Woman's size 8 pants. You're one of the funniest people I've seen while they're drunk. Keep up the practice with the guys; I want to see you in the Top 5 at BoO2: TSS.

Kai: Face! Yeah, you probably don't check these boards, but you're still cool, even if you're a Korean that's bad at some games. Thanks for putting up with me while I was there, and for the nice stir-fry you made.

Adam: It's awesome that you went to Tassie, and that I was also able to go, even if we didn't represent Vic smash as well as we could have or as well as others could have. That Yoshi down smash was so lame, Johns aside. =)

D.J Cat/Bob: Thanks for hosting BoO, and for the nice Peach dittos; I knocked you out in the first one, but you knocked me out in the second one. Maybe by the time BoO2:TSS rolls around, if it does and if I'm able to make it, I'll have a secret character reserved to take out your Peach. Give props to your parents (?) as well for putting up with all of us. Nice job with the BBQ too, sarcasm aside. ^_~

Len: Hey, thanks for letting us stay at your place; The games of Smash64 and Mario vs Luigi were cool. Give props to your mother for letting us stay, and for leaving us breakfast food as well as soda to drink. =)

Those are the main people I remember. To some of the others:

Chooker: Bombs, bombs, bombs! And missiles -- That's the majority of Samus. Practice getting those two techniques near-flawless, and you'll be much better for BoO2.

Dino: Your Yoshi was so unfair with that down smash. Practice using the C-stick less, aerials more, and not wasting your second jump so often -- You only have second jump immunity until around 100% or so. Before 50%, try crouch cancel everything and counter with down tilt or down smash. Just not on me. =P

Tom: I didn't get to talk to you much, or watch many of your matches, or play against you, but you still seemed cool and I heard that your Falco has some skills. Maybe a Falco ditto at BoO2?

To those that didn't get a personal shout-out, as well as in general:

It was great fun guys. Even if you're not into smash as much as some of us are, try to get a little practice on the side of your busy lives and schedules, even if it's only to practice some technical things, or just combos; Competetive smash is all about showing the skills that you have, and your ability to control the game. Fun is a side bonus while in a tourney, but then again that's what friendlies are for -- You should make the best of what you've got.

I expect to see you all in top form for BoO2: The Second Scare. Ciao. =)

MISTER.PHANTASMO / Adam - was awesome meeting you, cool guy, solid player, you should probably prac on your own more though to get some more tech down pat, so i dont embarass you next time you come down with a 4 stocking ;) but yeah, didnt get to play in the tourney and probably safe to say you beat me in a fair few of the friendlies near the end there. was great fun, and very learning for me as i haven't really versed falco's like that much. loved having you here, hope to see you again. more road trips :P

Steve / Z Daddy/ ZTV / Z - Yet again, awesome guy, glad you came, for your relative newishness to the scene (yes i realise a tasmanian is saying this), you showed a lot of skill and potential, i think we had some good games and quite a few random character matchups throughout the time you stayed here ;P all helping my game a little at least, not sure if you feel you got better though? anyawy So glad you could come, take good care of Snap Parry (not A not E) :P hope to see you again at boo2 if all things permit, happy to have you.

DJ Cat / Bob / Peter - Well, talk about playing well on the day, lol. you easily deserved your postion, well earned. love playing smash with you, some great friendlies later also. hope to get some more prac in with you before next tourney if at all possible :) and keep on praccing im sure we will stay even or close to it for a while ~ Good too see you improved so much since last time we met. Sloth - Well, yeah, we've been playing for as long as i've known you pretty much, competative at every game we play, (i dont mean close necesarrily, i.e. ut2k4 where i own you on every map) ;) and yeah, thanks for the cleanly well run tourney, sorting the brackets and keeping tihngs going smooth all day. Thoguh the skill gap between us is huge, its always fun playing you and drinking seems to somewhat lessen that gap. so here's to doing that for a while into the future :P, cia when you get back from melb, hope shaz shows you how to lose, because we cant, and quite frankly you need to learn. if you dont know how to lose how are we ever going to beat you.

Chooker - Haaaazzahhh, always the life of the party, though i would say you havent really been praccing smash, the toureny would have lost a lot of its fun (for me at least) if you were not around, hope how much you got owned encourages you to get back in form :P (hey im being blunt but maybe it will make you more motivated) come down and visit whenver you want, get some prac in before next tourney or just come up for the weekend and do whatever. its all good. :) loved seeing you again. keep it up.

Freaky Beeky - yep, dis kid i live with, i know he has it in him, its just getting it out that is the hard part :P

Monkey - Personal tour guide to the bottle-o came in handy, dw tho you're still pretty gay (I JEST I JEST), you should visit the bridport boys more and practice your smash instead of that smelly xbox stuff. get that falco short hop fast fall lazering pew pew pew, and drill shine for days. you can definately get better, you just need to practice!

Tom - for how new you are to the scene (i assume) you showed some definate potential, (being abel to short hope at least semi consistently is something most people there didnt seem to be doing :P) so yeah, if you prac with chooker a bit im pretty sure both of you will benefit a lot, was good meeting you, though we only played in that one set and i wanst really very forgiving at that point. but yeah, good seeing you, new faces always welcome

Budgie - dudeeeeeeeeeee, i think you should prboably take other peoples advice, and try to paly a bit more adaptive playstyle, once you do you will realise that marth and his cstick will only beat a few people, then agian it depends how seriously you want to take your smash. :P oh well glad you were there, the more the merrier.

Dungy / Marche / Munchy - Y.Link may well be cool and good and all that, but yeah, unless you have the bryce syndrome i dont think you will be imrproving that rapidly with him. so i suggest trying something easier to use that doesnt require as much ready of your opponent. and yeah. thats for supplying things like the lappie, stereo, tv, cube, and your wonderful self. hope you aren't put off about your toureny results, someone has to lose. :) you can only get better.

Dino - Revenge!!! i finally avenged myself from my last toureny performance. you have good style and timing, but i think you really limit yourself with the over-use of cstick smashing, more aerials needed, and such, otherwise you arent really going to be improving much more >.> but glad you were there none the less. very casual guy. good fun to play. :D

As for smash I dont know about you guys but after a tournie I'm pritty motivated to train and I hope its the same for you, so I look forward to future matches.
