I practiced edge teching in fox btt and when I do the illusion or firefox from the left and going to the right I'm like the tech master and make it 9 of 10 but when I'm on the other side and is going to the left I make it 1/30 :dizzy:

Have this happen to you and do you have any clue what this can be. I'm trying to do the exactly the same and still don't work and I'm trying over and over again

you mean when you hit the electric thingy? can't you just jump and land on the platform after getting hit?

Hmmm... that kind of stuff happens to ppl. Before when I made an Infinite Waveshine from right to left I did it perfectly, but when doing it from left to right I oftenly Illusioned out of stage. You just have to get used to it. Practice till you can do it from both sides.

While on the topic of teching in Fox's target test stage, I thought I'd mention a cool little trick you can perform. It's good teching practice too, I guess. As soon as Target Test starts, go to the left and drop down. Jump towards the electric block on the right. Illusion straight into the electric block and hold up while you tech. You should walljump and land on the normal block that's there. Now you're ready to start.

This stunt is much easier with the Firefox because you can aim it to hit the higher portion of the electric block. Anyway, it's your choice. Jump off the left side of the normal block and then illusion into the electric block, but hit the block as high as possible. Tech while holding up. If you did it right, you'll walljump OVER the normal block that's there and you can try to illusion and firefox into the block again. You can repeat this over and over without touching anything but the electric block, and it's so fun. See how many you can get with the illusion. It's too easy with the firefox.

if he side-b's into the thing he loses his jump, lol. plus, if you just go onto the right side of the one on the far right you wouldnt need to.
and falken, 9/10 on btt wouldnt make you the tech master, its easy. :)
sorry dalal if i repeated you, i was too lazy to read what you said, lol.

Yeah. it's so easy when you get it. but feels so weird when it's so easy from the left side and I can't make it from the right side.

but can you triple-post from the right side?

...just do what they said. theres no difference in teching right vs left.

LOOOL

The thing is, when you're facing the burner, it sends you to the right.
When you're facing the other way, it sends you to the left.

When you illusion into the burner from the left side, you're thus sent right into it and you can wall tech it.
If you do it from the right side you're sent straight away from the burner. However, it's perfectly possible to use a smash DI into the burner to wall tech.

Or else you could jump into the burner from the right doing a bair and then you can try teching without smash DI.
