Just like the topic says my fox needs help. I don't play very classy, and my style of play is getting boring. It goes sorta like this: Drillshine, U-throw, U-air, and other run-of-the-mill fox tactics. So someone please help my fox be classy!

Try dash dashing and Boost grabing works for me. Also try to L-Cancle most of your aireals it helps a lot and JC up smashs too. Oh and can you help me with Wallteching?

Wallteching is pretty easy. All you have to do is hit L right before you hit the wall.

I understand that but what about doing it out of his Fire Fox?

Do you mean when you hit something? You can only tech if you have been hit by something.

No well lets say you get knocked off the board and your below the egde a lets say a 50 degree angle and you Fire Fox your way up and you know you cant make it at least not without a little help.During the Fire Fox you ride up the wall before you hit the wall you press R or L and you walltech off like a wall jump how do you preform this?

Yes its been done I asked Silent Wolf you probaly know him too and he said 1/3 of a second before you hit the wall.But I still cant do it

You really can't do it man. If you really think you can do it post a video, untill then I'm not a believer. Anyway can someone help my fox be a classier fighter?

There is something called AIM which is really good for conversations like these. If you wanna be flashy watch Zelgadis or something.

You're right. You probably knew this but, I think Jeda was talking about Edge Teching. If a Marth is waiting up at the edge and you know your Firefox is going to get smashed when you try to recover, you should hold L or R 1/3 of a second before you reach the edge. When Marth smashes you, you will (most of the time) tech off the ledge (so NO knockback and you can use Up + B or Side + B to get onto the stage). If you hold up while you're firefoxing and holding L or R, you will walljump tech. So you can Side+B to get onto the stage. Actually, incorporating this into your game will also make you look flashy, so you could practice it.

well, a good fox soesnt have to be flashy, use whats most effedctive, if your not doing good, then there is a problem, did you try thunders combo? look it up in the fox forums, its super flashy and works very well.

The reason I want to be flashy is because my current style of playing is boring, not beacause I suck. I do what is "most effective" for whatever situation I am in. I have been doing that since SSB 64, and it is starting to get bland and boring.

try thunders combo. flashy and effective. try practicing related combos, which consists of a jab to uair.

basically, when someone doiesnt tech, jab him and shffl a uair on him and he wuill pop up, now if you shine a character that flass, you can Ws into a jab, the uair on him and he will pop up, then you can u smash him and then do whatever.

Here's a cool edge move you can do: Do a ledge-hopped nair holding the control stick towards the stage but right when the nair comes out hold the control stick back towards the edge. If you do it right, you will nair, land on the edge, and automatically slip back and grab the edge. You can keep repeating this with different aerials. I call it Aerial Slipping.
