Ok guys lately I have been having problems waveshining CF and Ganon and i have a few questions. People telling me to keep practice, but I think what i'm doing is wrong.
First question: Does the wavedash length have to be perfect or can it be a little less than perfect?
Second question: Is it possible to do the infinite waveshine too fast because sometimes I end up right next to ganon or cf, but the shine doesn't hit them I think it is because I have to wait til the wavedash is completed before shining.
Third question: when you are perfect waveshining or even just perfect wavedashing does it feel like the control is perfectly horizontal but it actually isn't?
Fourth question: Is shining then sliding the control stick to the position for a wavedash the best method for infinite waveshining or is it better to not exactly return the control stick to neutral position, but go from down b to just moving the control stick to its diagnol position (like you would do for wavedashing out of waveshine) and then wavedashing?
Thanks in advance

do perfect ones, you can't do it too fast, i guess it feels horizontal, return it to neutral because if you don't you'll have trouble waveshining backwards.

Answer 1: it depends on if they DI the shine or not. if they DI towards you, it doesnt even need to be perfect. if the DI away, it definately does. if they smash DI away, they will fall from shine, breaking your shine combo. ir they dont DI, perfect WD would be best and if it wasnt perfect each time, you may begin to fall behind and he'll break out.
Answer 2: There's no such thing as doing it too fast. i do it almost frame perfect and it works out for the better. faster just lets you keep up with them easier. :)
Answer 3: For me it doesnt fell horizontal, but it pretty much is, i learned by just gradually WDing more horizontally. and now, i can do it fine. in other words, practice makes you better, im not sure about perfect. :)
Answer 4: I do my waveshines so fast that i dont really have time to return it to the nuetral position, i just kinda move it from the down angle to the horizontal one.
This should be all you need to now really, unless other people do it differently and it works for them just as fine. :)
-Im pretty sure its fine if its less than perfect.
-You dont have to wait fer the waveshine to finsh to be able to hit them again. You will just
eventually get too far from them if u keep going fast.

- I do a shine and go back to neutral for a sec then go to the wavedash, and after just keep
bringin the stick forward as if im about to walk towards them. Sometimes u shud walk towards
them on the first shine. But i wud just say try to perfect waveshine, its easier.

You wont get past ganon, especially i hes a good player and DIs away from your shine.
anothr thing, during a waveshineinfinite, i wouldnt reccomend doing a nuetral, lol. you have the right idea though.
all you need to know has been posted controlfreak7 :)

I think I discovered a way to make it easier for me now thanks for all the replies but after i posted this topic i was trying to work on my waveshine and all the sudden I was doing it too well to be true. I realized the position of my finger.
Look at the control stick as a clock I left my finger at the one to two o'clock position when waveshining the opponent left (right to left) and ten to eleven o'clock when i was waveshining my opponent right. (left to right) I assumed this helped me because I moved the control stick farther than I did when I shined with my finger at the twelve o'clock position. This made doing the perfect wavedash a lot easier.
If you're having trouble you should try this out.

I think that waveshine into grab is more efective. But thats just me. :)

lol up throw is officially the worst set up for up air. fox's grab is dead to me now.
waveshine to up smash lol
I don't know how you can play Fox without his grab. His grab is probably his most important tool...
Upthrow Uair/Utilt/Usmash is the most easy and deadly combo against pretty much the entire cast. Without worry about grabs, what stops people from just leaving their shield up while you attack?

lol you obviously don't know what smash DI is. up throw up air becomes pretty much useless against people who can smash DI the first hit, and it's simple after being thrown straight up.
I don't entirely mean that the throw is useless, however against better players who can get out of the first kick it isn't the uber combo that it is at lower levels of play.
don't even bother debating or whatever.
