Falco on FD is basically the closest thing to a counter for Fox. A good Falco anyways. Fox is great against Fox cause he can cheap kill him. but they can do it to you to. even match up of course.

Hahaha funniest post I've read in a while. Serious reply though, he doesn't have much of a counter, maybe Falco but I think it is pretty even. He's #1 on the tier list for a reason.

Fox obviously has no weakness. But he certainly has equals (all the top tier), and inferiors in tier theory.

Fox dittos can be entirely based on u-throw to u-smash, that's why I hate playing unfamilliar Fox's in dittos. They don't know how I play, so their whole game ends up being u-throw to u-smash to another u-smash to whatever. I really don't go by who counters who. I'll play who I get with no complaints.

If you play a Fox who doesn't know how you play, and you actually play the way you just described, that must have been one NOOBISH Fox, LOL. :)
agent7underfire, just practice against foxes, so you wont need to go into counter picking. same goes for other character match ups with other characters too.

If you consider that the second kick of Fox's uair can be DI'ed out of (with massive european DI ;)) Marth does pretty well in this matchup. That's probably what I'd focus on if I was being gayed over and over with uthrow uair uair combos. Marth has his chain throws, utilts, and of course, tipper combos.

I think Falco vs. Fox is pretty much a dead even matchup on any stage. Fox can chainthrow Falco, reflect lasers, u-throw is almost a free smash every time, and Falco is easy to shinespike. Of course Falco can combo Fox like crazy, pillar, SHL, and his u-throw and sometimes d-throw are good against Fox.

I personally think Doc is one of the best characters to use against Fox or Falco. Doc is floaty so he is more difficult to combo, he's got his evil pills, cape destroys firefox and firebird and reflects lasers, he's got an amazing CC d-smash, amazing b-throw and u-throw, and a strong n-air. I play against Doc sometimes with Falco and when he spams cape against SHL and aerials it is the most annoying thing in the world.

Mario is also good because he's got everything Doc does except his fireballs aren't as good as pills and his f-air is weaker and spikes down but his b-air is much stronger and great for edgeguarding.

nobody really counters fox, but some characters do really well against him, like samus. Fox cant really combo samus since she is a floaty. Samus can easily edge-guard fox with missiles and U-tilt. she doesnt completely counter fox though.

Actually this is not true. I found it funny when I learned this, but it is actually Fox who counters Falco on this stage, for any other matchup (cept maybe with marth or anyone else you can CT the **** out of falco) Falco has the advantage. Fox can do grab combos like there is no tomorrow on falco, plus he can CT him. In fact falco has a small advantage on all other stages. This advantage isn't that big though keep that in mind. Falco can rape the **** out of fox, but when fox gets the chance he can return the favor, but Fox has a harder time because platforms can get in the way of grab comboing.

Things to watch out for.....

1.Falco´s waveshine, pillar combos and spike.
2.Peach´s whorenado.
3.Chain grabs
4.Jiggly puff´s U'throw to rest combo.
5.WoP
6.Marth´s F smash and spike
7.Link´s sword spin spike.
8.Roy´s counter.
9.Shiek´s chop, needles and downsmash rapes fox´s recoveries.
10.Fox´s shine spike.

Teching, sweetspotting and proper DI will save you from this.

And remember to meteor cancel.

I always have the most trouble with Peach, but Fox doesn't have any true counters, just tough battles.

Falco counters fox.

And marth is even with Fox, though Marth can take fox from zero to death.

I think doc is fox's major weakness because of the cap and the fact that most of docs attacks send u flying far horizontally even at low percent.

A chaingrabbing marth, or a marth that can completely screw over your recoveries w/ fsmashes and airs. A samus who knows how to Crouch Cancle and edguard using utilt/chargeshot against recoveries, doc's cape, and depending on how you play as fox - peach (down smash, lol)

I think that the fact Mario can actually finish the CG with a f-smash far more often makes them quite different if you ask me. :ohwell:

Now that I can smash DI out of all of Falco's combos, I no longer believe he is a Fox counter there, lol.
no one really counters him overall.
and Marth isnt even with fox, fox has a slight advantage, and, fox can 0-death marth too ya know...

Falco that LS and can pillar well is a fox counter, they are more even on FD than any other stage. Fox does own Green Greens though :)
Marth = CG to tip to EG to death to overkill to taunt :chuckle:

Seriously though, Marth has the advantage in that battle, and if the marth can SDI then he can't go from zero to death.... unless they're retarded and get shinespiked:newbie:

If doc can get fox off the edge, hes dead. if mario can, theres a good chance hes dead. doc is higher on the tier list for a reason. his fsmash isnt that much better. and the chain throw isnt very different, lol. its not really better. it works the same. plus doc can get out of uthrow uair all the time. mario cant.
I like mario better because he has a better cape and a wall'kick but Doc´s still better than him.

Silent Wolf, you have it wrong. Fox has the advantage on FD against Falco because of chaingrabbing. Falco has the advantage on all of the other neutral stages. Fox can't CG or use a lot of Uthrow combos with platforms. Falco can still pillar regardless of platforms.

Pretty much ask any good Fox player and they will say this. (Search any Fox vs Falco thread, and you will see people say this all the time)

Jfox, your right to an extent, but you can shine out of the CT and easily put the fox into a pillar combo if you shine the fox and perform a dair immediatly, watch the matches of pc vs m2k from fc6 and you will notice that m2k doesn't really get the chance to CT pc due to him shining out of it.
